Hi all
decided to make a post on here hoping it will help people in a similar situation. if it wasn't thanks to the information i found on this forum i most certainly wouldn't gotten to where I am now!!
I first noticed my glans being curved by about 25-30 degrees to the right during an erection in February 2021 and noticed a
plaque/scar tissue at the base of the glans with a small indentation. After finding this forum i self diagnosed it being Peyronies (sadly couldn't afford a specialist here in the UK and was put on a 2 month waiting list to see a urologist).
I started straight away with 6-8h
traction penimaster pro, 300 mg COQ10, 2g Acetyl Carnitine, 2.5 mg cialis daily, and a few minutes heat before
traction with warm water. I also went on a keto diet for 1 month, but sadly i was shedding too much weight (i'm already quite skinny) and I generally eat a lot of fruit so wasn't feeling great with a lack of nutrients, so returned to a normal diet but tried to cut unhealthy carbs as much as i could and switch to healthier alternatives (grains, quinoa etc). Sadly my phone was broken, so couldn't take a picture up to about 215 hours of
traction. i then got a new one and measured a 15 degree angle using the angle tool in the free ImageJ software.
I am now at around 370 hours of
traction and my angle is around 5 degrees. some days it looks better than others and sometimes after
traction it looks completely straight and it goes back to being curved in the morning, but even by looking at the photos without measuring, there has been a huge improvement in the last month. I never suffered from excessive pain, but have noticed some sharp pains when i drink too much alcohol (or the next morning). these usually don't last more than a few seconds/minutes. I had stopped masturbating (except once or twice a week) as my penis would feel very red and inflamed afterwards, but now things are starting to feel way more normal (don't know if its just natural progression of disease or the combination of treatments).
I also started using the hirudoid cream (there is a thread on this with a lot of positive posts). not sure if its affected my scar tissue size, but my penis feels less inflamed than a few months ago. i have almost gone back at masturbating once a day without any issues.
note on
traction: Before using the PMP, i did a few hours of manual gentle.
traction daily for a week following NeoVs youtube channel tips. i think this helped condition my penis for the device and reduce the chance of hurting myself. Also the lubricant that comes with the PMP is horrible, castor oil serves the same purpose, its cheaper and is actually good for the skin!
Note on cialis: there are some reports on this forum and the tinnitus forums that it can cause hearing problems. I cannot say for sure if it was cialis's fault (i work with music so was suffering from some tinnitus before hand) but after two months of taking it daily my tinnitus got worse exponentially. I since quit cialis and am looking to take some natural supplements (curcumin etc). it's worth knowing if you have pre-existing hearing problems
i hope this helps people and gives them some hope. I was quite desperate and depressed when I first started seeing the symptoms, and definitely was spending too much time on here, but now i realise how having a positive mindset is actually more important to deal with peyronies and heal your penis. its important to have some patience as well!
happy to answer any questions if needed!
