Intro and questions regarding nocturnal erections

Hello all,
Mid forties in good health.  Within the past month I noticed hardening about an inch below my head.  It forms a 3/4 ring around the top and sides with the left side being more calcified than the right.

In the past few days I have noticed a "dent" as well as an upward bend to the head.  I will be seeing my doctor next week.

In the past few months, I've focused a lot on cardio and leg work.  As a result, I've been getting nocturnal elections much more frequently.  There is a definite correlation.  These erections are stronger then when I was in my 20's.  They appear to last a long time.

I'm wondering if the length of time erect may be causing the plaque.  Maybe blood is trapped by the plaque?  My basic reading is that peyronies is more likely to cause ED, not the exact opposite.  Any thoughts or similar experiences when your onset occurred?

Right now there is no pain.  I've ordered a pump already to mitigate further damage and will follow the 3 cylinder routine once it arrives.

Additionally, is there any advice for "horizontal" plaque vs "vertical" plague?
Thank you for you time,
Ray

Rubber band like hardening below the head was first symptom.  A month later a left side dent and upward curve has developed.

Welcome to the forum Ray.  You found a community that understands what you are going through and are here to help.

First, the most important issues for a new member are to read this very carefully and refer to it often.  I covers all of the frequently asked questions.

I could accept that leg work can increase erections.  It can increase both cardiovascular development and testosterone.  I cannot accept that you are developing priapism because of it.  Oxygen to the penis through NTE's is a preventative rather than a cause of Peyronies Disease.

I do not understand your reference to horizontal vs. vertical plague.

Thank you for the information and kind words Hawk.

The horizontal plaque was referring to what I perceived as a left to right (if viewing from above) placement of the calcified area.

Additionally, is it common for peyronies to be close to the head of the penis?

Regarding the NTE, preventative sounds good, so I won't worry about it.

There is no distinction on plaque patterns as far as frequency or treatment.  Hourglass deformity is common and is caused by plaque that makes a circle or semi-circle around the girth of the penis.  If plaque develops along the length of one surface of the shaft, it causes a bend or curve.

Peyronies plaque can appear anywhere along the shaft of the penis.  It does not affect the actual glans but can be right behind the glans.

Thank you again.  I've procured coq10 and will get l-carnitine tomorrow.  Augusta VED arrives Friday.  Doctor next week.

I think my only other question would be regarding the hourglass.  As this would affect girth, I assume the VED would be preferred over an extender, correct?

These forums are a wealth of information that is greatly appreciated.

Ray, some would suggest a 3 cylinder VED would work better than an extender, but the few small studies on extenders show that they also reduce dents and hourglass deformity.  It makes sense because if you stretch the tissue, it is free to expand in length or girth.

Typically extenders require much more of a time investment.  If you are working age and employed, it becomes much more of a challenge. I personally think there is a lot to be said for extenders' steady long-term stretching.  They are not for everyone, however.

Welcome to the forum RayC !  I also do a lot of cardio and leg work.  I know it has helped with my NTE also.  :)  Mike
