Hello, forum.

It would be nice to try to gather all possible causes of penis curvature in this thread. The forum is generally about Peyronie's disease and this is a separate subforum on congenital disorder. But there seem to be other causes of curvature.

wrongdiagnosis.com mentiones the following:

  • Peyronie's disease
  • Urethral stricture (An abnormal narrowing of the urethra)
  • Hypospadias (Congenital defect with misplaced urinary opening, this is a congenital disorder)
  • Penis injury
  • Penis fracture
  • "There are likely to be other possible causes"

Congenital curvature (Chordee) is not mentioned here for some reason.

Uneven tight circumcision seems to be one more cause. Circumcision leaves too little skin on one side of the penis and the penis becomes bent towards the side with less amount of skin. It has been already mentioned in the "Foreskin Resotration to relieve tight erection" thread on this forum.

MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia in the article "Curvature of the penis" also mentiones Dupuytren's contracture.

How to you actually distinguish between all of them? Mayo Clinic article on Peyronie's says "The scar tissue, or plaques, associated with Peyronie's disease can be felt under the skin of the penis as flat lumps or a band of hard tissue". But if you don't feel anything how do you find the cause?

you are correct in that there are many causes of penile curvature. While we have message boards devoted to several of these, the real focus of this forum is Peyronies Disease recognition, treatment, and support.

The only way to get a proper diagnosis is to see a professional.
