traction and penile length

so from reading studies amd listening to drs like laurence levin it appears that traction is a way to increase penile length.

i wonder how that actually happens? does it get longer because the nonvisable side gets pulled out of the scrotum? does it get longer due to cells actually multiplying and new tissue being created? or does it get longer by strwtching out the scar tissue that shortened it?

and another question on my mind is when thsy say traction can get you lengthening does that mean you can only get a length back that you have lost before? or can you gain persistently beyond that?

i wonder because i started my peyronies journey with an unfortunately rather short penid, significantly below average in length. i feel so awful about it, 2 our of 3 sex positions i literally can not do which creates a lot of frustration and takes a lot of joy out of my sexuality. ifgiven the choice between a penis of short size and rather mild peyronies or longer size and severe peyronies the latter is always better because with surgery or implant you can at least get a usable penis which i can not no matter what. ive been extremely depressed becsuse lately in addition to the shortness there is some added severe erectile dysfunction.

when i see and feel my penis i feel absolutely awful.

is there any chance i can gain the 1-2cm thag has been reported in studies on peyronies even though the shrinkage from the disease itself was rather mild in my case(3-4mm)?

has anyone gained length above their pre peyronies length? thanks

People without peyronies use penile traction devices all the time to gain length without peyronies. In fact it is one of the only safe treatments for people with a normal healthy but small penis. One thing to note is that for non peyronies people the length gain needs to be maintained for life by doing traction once a week atleast. Imo , this is a very small price to pay.

It has been proven to work. The degree that it does depends on the individual. You just have to give traction a try and see how you respond to it. Don't think that you will gain it back in a month - it takes time and    g e n t l e   stretching.

Here is one study ----> https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18373527/  and here is a link of Dr Levine talking on the subject of traction devices. ----> https://vimeo.com/70388748  .  Hope this helps.  Also in the resource library there are lots of links to read  -----> https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,7299.0.html

Regarding how: my opinion is some of it has to do with increasing length by pulling on the pelvic floor causing a loss in elasticity thru the relation of stress and strain with strain representing a change in shape or length. The same relation applies to penile tissue. That is, when a pulling force is applied the material will deform/ stretch over time. Two main areas within the range of deformation are elastic region and plastic region. The elastic region is where the change in length during stretching will return to normal. Through continued increase in force/stress, once you get past a point of yield strength you get into a region of plastic deformation where further application of continued/increased force will cause permanent deformation (lengthening). However lengthening comes at the cost of loss in elasticity. (You will see some post here on the from that mentions loss in elasticity.) Continued application of the force over time will contribute to further deformation in small increments. There is a portion of time where you maintain elasticity while also achieving elongation. Each material has its own properties of "stretchiness" and I can only assume there are two ways to determine the penile tissue properties. Cadaver and empirical methods. Everything I've seen suggest only empirical methods gave been used to determine the amount of force and time.
In my experience restorex helped more with length and I might have achieved 15-20 percent improvement in curve. I will take it but it's also easy to overlook just how small of an amount that is. In attempt for further improvement, I'm going to look more into injections at this point since I've given traction a fair go at 10 months.

?? is this backed by any science at all? and what does loss of elasticity even mean? from my understanding should traction not actually increase elasticity?

I have been wearing the andropenis since august for an average of 5 hours per day for 5 days a week. I have not noticed any significant erect length changes, although that being said I have also not experienced loss of length.

I have experienced an hourglass under my glans, which is the most pronounced when 50% erect. I have recently developed dent on the right side in the middle of my penis which causes a tiny bit of girth loss. Hoping the traction minimises the girth loss.

My flaccid penis has become longer definitely. I have always been a definite grower rather than a shower. I feel like the andropenis really helps with the penile pain and the hard flaccid/turtling. Since I am circumcised the device is easy to wear. My curvature is pretty much gone though it started to reduce already before using the device.

I would recommend the device if you are circumcised although if you have the money you can always look at RestoreX which looks very promising and might help with a curve more due to its design.
