Inplant Recommended Usage

People who have implants. Can you please comment on the recommended usage of your implants per week.

Is there any recommended limit per week doctors tell to maximize the life of an implant. Goal would be to have the implant last 10 years atleast free from failure.

I was never told and would not live to maximize the life of my implant.  My luck is as soon as I limited it to once a week to make it last, I would get hit by a truck after two years and lay on the street cursing and dying because I had a ton of unused usage that was wasted.

Once you have an implant you stopping thinking about your implant.  You have sex when the urge strikes you and it does not occur to you that it is "implant sex".  I am 70 and have had sex 4 times in 3 days for extended sessions.  Keep in mind many men cycle it twice a day for two years to gain size.

If it goes, I will call 30 minutes later and get another one.

So I am curious if an implant goes through rigorous testing procedures.  Like inflating and deflating or how long it can stay inflated etc.. I know for testing the tensile strength of an alloy it is put in a machine that gauges when it will break. I'm sure there has to be some type of a protocol for testing all implants. Just curious.  : )  Mike

Ok, good to know that doctors don't tell you to limit implant usage like most of the websites seemed to indicate where they write the recommend usage is 1 to 2 times a week.

If you read my journal, you would see in the first few entries pre-op that Dr. Eid introduced me to an 80-year-old man who had his implant for one year.  He and his wife used it 400 times in that first year.

That approximates to 1.095 times a day for sex - and the man is 80!! Remarkable!

I should  tell my wife about this. I know that after 4 kids she does seem a bit  "loose-fitting,"  if I may use the term.

Nope. Not going there. Using this thing as much as I want for whatever I want, whenever I want, as much as I want.

Get the implant. Use the implant. It breaks. Get the implant fixed. Use the new implant. Repeat till the docs say they cannot fix it. Then worry about it

Sw01, that's what worries me... being no longer fixable... Im just 26 and being no longer fixable in let's say my 50's won't cut it for me. I would rather be able to have sex twice a week for the rest of my life than have all the sex till my 50s and then never.
