Is this cock ring too tight?

Lately, I've been wanting to use a cock ring because I do have trouble maintaining my erections. I tried putting one on that was pretty stretchy. I put it on my penis while it was soft and I put it near the base. The problem that I experienced was that it was tight to the point where it was pushing my penis inwards. I didn't feel any pain or abnormal numbness, but I only had it on for like 5 seconds so it wasn't really enough time to tell. Is this normal considering that I was completely soft at the time and it's meant to be a tight fit around the penis or should I experiment with the adjustable cock rings first before trying to use this one?

It is difficult to explain to someone how tight is too tight vs. not tight enough.

When I was struggling with such issues, I tried several things, from an assortment of "O" rings from the hardware store to simple metal rings to more expensive bendable metal horseshoe-shaped rings with a removable straight bar.

If you are starting out experimenting, you might consider something like this.  These are especially good if you can get an erection, then put them on and experiment with how tight you have to cinch it down to keep the erection.  _____> https://www.reachmedical.com/pal-penile-adjustable-loop/

They are simple and not too hard to make if you have surgical tubing or even a thin exercise band, but they are not very expensive.

The answer on how tight is determined by whether it maintains the erection.

Also, if you search Horseshoe liquid metal cockring, you will find what I think is the best ring I ever used.  They are somewhat adjustable and can be put on an already erect penis.  They are on the pricey side, however.

I have used the above bands, they do work pretty good.  I always wanted to try the hardware one below/

Warning, if you use this hardware it will NOT make your dick look most the other men on the sight and it will not give you washboard / 6 pack abs.  ;)

@Hawk thank you for the suggestion. I had quite a bit of difficulty putting on the rubber O-ring while I was soft, so there's no way I'd be able to get that on while I'm erect. I'm a bit hesitant to use something metal because if it gets stuck, that's a big problem, so I'm gonna test out some other options first. The main reason that I made post was bc the o ring squeezed my penis inwards and that just didn't look good to me, but I was completely soft upon putting it on so i think that's normal. Thanks again for the suggestion, I'll consider it if other options don't work well for me.

Something that constricts the penis before you get hard seldom works.  It usually restricts the blood flow into the penis.

I agree.  I would probably try the loop first but only because of cost, measuring, etc.

The metal ring I showed will not get stuck. - It has a removable bar across the bottom.  In addition, you can bend the ring and spread it with your bare hands.  That is why they call it "liquid metal.

@Hawk that's great to hear regarding the metal bar. That gives me a lot more options to combat my ED and make me feel a lot more better in general. Really has given me a lot of hope. Thank you.
