ear problems with cialis

Pentox helps with my ears, and for me Cialis is less worse than Viagra for them. Cialis is more smooth sailing, so it gives my ears less trouble. Pentox relieves any ringing for me and other accounts on the internet witness the same. So I recommend you take both Pentox and Cialis!

I used cialis. I was aware it could cause tinitus. But I already had that. In my experience it became louder after taking cialis. But I am not sure it was stress or heightened awareness or cialis. I stopped using it. It lessened then. Later it became stronger again without taking cialis. I think this time due to stress for sure. Hard to make up what caused it initially.

I did like cialis.

Wow, it's been about three months for me.  I will pay attention much more to my hearing.  I've gotten over all the original side effects.

I've been off Pentox for about a month and I've noticed worse tinnitus which I assume is from my daily cialis. It sounds like you guys are saying Pentox aids in that?

I was worried that my nightly dose of 2.5mg tadalafil was starting to cause hearing issues---but it felt like more a congestion in my left eustachian tube, because it didn't seem to affect my external hearing; it's more like it was amplifying the internal sounds of chewing & swallowing. 

I mentioned my ototoxicity concern to my urologist, and he pointed out that those drugs (Viagra, Cialis) can lead to congestion in the sinuses, so it was probably just congestion in the eustachian tube, and not some sort of hearing damage.  I'd already stopped the tadalafil for a bit and it had cleared up.

So I bet that, many times, ear/hearing effects are just from congestion, not ototoxicity.  Of course, otoxicity is also a possibility, and thus a valid concern---but probably not the first conclusion to jump to.

I went through something very similar when I first started taking Cialis, so I completely understand your concerns! I also had that sensation of congestion, almost like an amplified awareness of internal sounds while chewing or swallowing, and it was unsettling at first. My doctor reassured me that this effect is actually quite common and usually linked to the sinus congestion caused by these medications rather than true ototoxicity or hearing damage.

After I continued taking the medication, the congestion symptoms gradually lessened, and I no longer noticed those effects. My advice would be to stay aware of any unusual sensations but not to worry too much unless the issue persists or worsens. Taking a break like you did or lowering the dose temporarily could help if the congestion becomes too bothersome. Of course, staying in touch with your doctor is always a good move if symptoms linger.
