Moreover, you erect size is already over peyronies baseline, in my opinion that is due to TEP. Without TEP in my opinion you would be shorter 3 months out and regain over next years or two.

GaussRifle, I am curious as to what information you drew on to form your opinion.  You did not come up with that from studying the 1st-hand journals provided on the forum.  I was 1/4" longer and 1/4" more girth than my pre-surgery size 8 weeks after surgery. At 3 months, I picked up an additional 1/4" to put me 1/2 " over my presurgical length (without glans engorgement).  This is typical if you study the journals.

We must base our opinions on something, or we contribute to misinformation being repeated and men being robbed of the information they need to make very important decisions.

@GaussRifle
thanks for your message and support. Yea, nerve healing can take months. As I said in my last post, I've seen guys that had a simple implant procedure and ended with sensation problems that lasted for 8+ months.

@Hawk
In my view, on this forum we have, fortunately, generally good outcomes regarding implant surgeries.
On FT, for example, I've seen a lot of guys that ended shorter after the surgery. It's difficult to find men that ended with more than they had prior to the surgery. Merrix is the only one I can remember.
This is very related to the surgeon skills, so again we need to emphasize the need to seek high volume doctors.

It is of course true that if men are encouraged to get implants from Surgeons who do 4 or 5 surgeries a year or even a dozen or two that they will have suboptimal results.  That does not apply to the vast majority of men on this forum.  I might add that Merrix was the one man who reported being bigger after an implant than at any time in his life.  That was not a comparison to pre-surgery.  It was a comparison to his all-time largest size prior to Erectile Dysfunction or Peyronies Disease.

Hawk as Tartao pointed out, most of the people who underwent penile implant surgery not just here but other forums were smaller in size post op immediately after the surgery. I saw this statistic to be 3/4 atleast. While I  do agree it lands to surgeon skill, the fact is not everyone has access to Dr. Eid. My point being tartao got his surgery done some place else, and without TAP there is a high probability his size would be shorter immediately post surgery considering he wasn't operated by Dr. Eid or the likes.

Gaussrifle, you know nothing about implants or Peyronies Disease or Erectile Dysfunction in general.  You joined this forum 6 months ago, not 16 years ago.  Why would you try to explain implants to me? It is hilarious and embarrassing. ?You have never had an implant and never even had an implant consultation with a major surgeon.  You have not even read the journals.  You have posted false information on the forum several times in your short 6 months visit here.

Most men do NOT lose size with Implants.  Many professional papers and studies agree. My personal experience supports that conclusion. The journals on this forum support that conclusion. The journals on other forums support that conclusion, and I never suggested anything to the contrary.  If you ever saw a link to such a quote by me, please share it because since I don't drink, I must have been having a stroke when I typed it.

You would have to go back to the earliest days of implants to see where men lost size before anyone knew how to size men and when they were afraid of possible erosion. So do some research and learn and stop acting like you are an authority or even informed.

You are dispensing false information.  Men who lose size before an implant TYPICALLY gain size by 3 months post-op if they select one of many well-known high volume surgeons.  Those who let a newbie cut on them with a Coloplast or other company rep in the room might not.

I don't see reason for this harshness. This bitterness repelled some members (i.e. Godisreal) and will lead us nowhere positive. This attitude just demotivates people from posting. Answering using arguments, not attacking people, should be the focus of every civilized discussion.

I think there's a clear point here: lot of guys (I don't think it's most of them, but a good number of them) end with less post-surgery (spend some time on FT or other forums and see) and not everyone (actually, just a $mall number of men) can afford Dr. Eid or Kramer or other top high volume doctor.
I don't see any lies or misinformation or ignorance in this statement.
Would I end with less if I hadn't TEP? I don't know. Maybe I'd end with the same size I have now. Or just 1 cm less. In my opinion, the TEP procedure was a disappointment: so much risk for a little gain in length. My expectation was higher than the results.

I'll update this journal some months from now. I have a lot of work to do and life is very busy nowadays. I think I detailed enough information in this journal, and some members know how to find me.
Stay well everyone!

Let me just chime in here. In one of my pre-op consults with my surgeon I was asking about size loss post surgery. He grabbed my penis, yanked on it hard, and said that is what size you will have after implant. And I'll be damned, he was right. I was the same size coming out of surgery as I was going in. So we don't all lose size and I had a surgeon (fairly high volume) no one has heard of...and I'm happy!

Thank you Tortao for sharing your experience. I've been considering an implant for some time, but I was curious to get feedback on the TEP technique. I think it's safe to say that it might be better to get a standard three piece  implant. I  did a consult with Dr. Eid last year (great guy), but Covid kept me from getting it done (out of state travel).

I think now I'll take the plunge. Also, Hawk seems to point out that just by cycling after the surgery he was able to pick up a 1/2" over his pre surgical length. This makes me feel good about at least NOT losing anymore from surgery. I'm optimistic that one day surgeries will be perfected that will help men with Peyronies get back all they lost.  :)

Hi, guys. How are y'all doing? I hope everyone is fine.
So, I think I need to update you guys about the current situation. I'll try to be very brief.
27 July marked 4 months of my operation. The discomfort I had while the implant was deflated lasted one or two more weeks after my last post, but the pain while ejaculating took more time. Just in the last week I was able to be completely pain free while ejaculating.
My length, when inflated and aroused, is 15 cm (not bone pressed). The same length I had pre-peyronie . This is amazing. And it's straight as an arrow. I'm confident it will increase a bit more, so probably I'll have more length than I ever had.
About girth... It increased too! Most part of my penis is 12 ~ 12.5 cm in girth. It's not a bad size, but I hope it will keep expanding, and then my girth pre-peyronie will return too!

Yesterday 28/July I used my tool for the first time! F~@<, man... Sex is F^@$!ng good! It's addictive. I got accustomed to not having sex because of this disease. Today I was thinking about it all day long. I want more now hahaha.
I cummed twice. I gave a pause after the first, of course. The girl bounced hard on me, man. Then I f'~c<+d her doggystyle. Let me tell you... her big ass, man... damn. I couldn't last 5 minutes in this position hahahaha.
If I had my peyronie penis, I wouldn't be able to do anything penetrative I did yesterday. Seriously, no way. I perceive this now, more clearly: an implant was really needed in my case.
I was quite anxious. Pumping was not difficult, but when I had to, I had to do two things at once, and this requires practice: kissing, eating p~$$%, kissing that big ass, all this while giving a few pumps here and there... Takes practice till you do these things well while pumping because it's easy to get distracted and focused on the pumping. It's all about practice, no worries here.
The sex was a bit rough, and I did it twice, so after that my glans was a bit sensitive and sore. I think it's normal, right? Damn, she bounced hard on me.
Ah, let me tell you: I've seen a lot of guys complaining on FrankTalking that their glans does not engorge more after the implant. I don't know if this is related to the surgeon's skills or what. But, fortunately, my glans engorges well. I just need to be aroused. Man, when I was kissing that big ass...  I was just feeling the blood flow in my dick and glans lol. And when I looked at my glans, it was looking like a big strawberry.

Surgery is a rough path, for sure. But it can give you your sex life back.

This post made me cry :'( We were rooting for you from the start. Please take a moment to thank Hawk who told us about the wonders of an implant if done correctly. I don't think a man with even a normal penis can do all that without ever worrying about losing an erection.... Simply WOW. I hope one day I am able to have sex as fulfilling as that with or without an implant.

What is it with men post a good implant .... They just start raving about sex suddenly being all sexual and naughty lol....  Their tone changes completely. I guess it's the confidence from never worrying about losing an erection lol.... Even men with normal penises have to worry about this lol.... No one can match your stamina now. Thank you HAWK ... Thank you Science !!!!!

Brilliant post, Tortao. I can sense total elation in your words - an amazing achievement to get to where you have in 4 months. You have now joined the ranks of us implanted men who have unbelievable, worry/stress-free sex all of the time now. No weird shape, no loss of erection worries, nothing but hugely satisfying sex. The excitement in your post is funny 😄 and I remember feeling just as wonderful when I realised what I could now do. Doggy was a complete non-starter for me too so now I've made up for decades! Good luck, my friend, and well done for getting through the 'darkness' to where you are now.

Tartao....Wait a second... in your first post you mentioned pre peyronies you were 15cm and after peyronies 13.5cm. Now you are 15cm already 4 months out, so you recovered all lost length from peyronies already ???

Also for TEP did the doctor performed glanspexy in your case , as it is usually done with that procedure ?

Yes, I recovered all the length. Not the girth, yet. I think it can take up to a year to recover it.
No glanspexy was performed. AFAIK, this procedure is done when the implant can't advance enough into the glans, so the surgeon does glanspexy in order to prevent floppy glans.

Looks like the promise of Tunica Expansion Procedure (TEP) holds true.  The procedure states that it allows recovery of length to limit of your neurovascualr bundle, so whatever length you lost due to peyronies will be regained. I would be interested to know which surgeons in the US are experts at this.

I gained almost an inch back with just a Titan and you usually gain more with a revision.  I doubt I would go through the trauma of a TEP just to gain back my other inch even if I knew for sure that it would be successful.  However, if I was 4" I probably would.

Makes sense... I don't think I'm at that stage yet... but it would definitely help the forum and some members in great distress with their length loss.

As part of the forum, just like we know high volume skilled doctors to go to for an implant... we also need a resource that states which doctors are experts or familiar now with TEP in the US.

Now that you've lived with the implant for a while I have a couple of questions.

1. is the feeling normal when you are wearing pants and not inflated

2. Overall would you say it was a good decision for a young man with peyronies problems that cannot have adequate sex

3. Did you have pain prior to surgery?

I want to get an implant and rid myself of the constant worry of reinjury  but I still have pain. How do I know I'm ready for the surgery if I still have pain?

1. it's a different feeling comparing to a penis without implant;
2. yea, I couldn't do penetrative sex after Peyronie hit damn hard. I can now, after surgery.
3. In the inflammatory phases, yea

I don't get your last question. You can do the surgery anyway.

Ok, I get it.
I was pain free while flaccid and while holding an erection and masturbating. Maybe a slight ache here and there, but nothing problematic regarding pain.
I can't say I was pain free while doing sex because I wasn't doing it for months. My penis was a mess. Probably I'd hurt myself. Penetrative sex would be ridiculous at that stage, I can't imagine how I'd do it.

Thanks for the update man. It's been really helpful.

Would you say you feel more or less like your old self these days? I remember in your earlier posts you were saying it was a tough adjustment. But now that you've had the implant for a while does it feel "natural" to you as far as pumping up, tubes softer  in flaccid, used to the over all mechanics?

Would you say you use it similarly now to how you did pre-Peyronie's? As far as sex/masturbation  approximate  number per week?  The reason I ask is I used to go at least twice a day whether it was sex or masturbation.

I'm very much considering this for myself. Even more so now more than ever, I ran out of cialis and I didn't realize how had things  have gotten I can barely get it up ol fml

Once again, we confuse people looking for concise information if we are not precise.  Tubes never get softer.  Titan cylinders get softer for up to 24 months or more which has no effect on the feel of the inflated penis.

Hello my friends, how are you?
First of all, I'm sorry for taking so much time to make an update. I have some reasons for this, but even so, I think I should have made it sooner.
Nonetheless, here I'm.
The first reason for taking so long is I was testing, adapting, etc with the implant. It's a new part of my body now, and it took some time to adjust and fully understand/integrate it. Making a post every month would just spam here, so a big post after taking a good acknowledgment about the implant would be better IMO. The second reason is I'm busier nowadays, and the third is pure laziness when I had the time to post, which I'm sorry for.

So how are things going? Well, things are good! My sexual life is 100% back, and now I can say I'm very satisfied with the implant and the surgery. Penis is straight, it has rigidity, it still engorges with blood, size is good, no pain, no worries.

→ What do girls think?
I had sex with some girls, and I don't think they noticed anything. If they did, they kept to them.
For example, a penis with an implant hangs differently than a penis without one. A girl will look at it and think what? She has no clue what an implant is. She will just think your penis is different, as all penis are one from another.
There was just a girl that touched a lot the pump inside my scrotum, and I think she may have thought "what the hell is this?", but she didn't ask anything and we had sex just once because she was traveling here in my city. I regret not talking about it to her because would be interesting to listen to her opinion.
The majority of women don't care how your dick gets hard. If you make her orgasm, she will be satisfied. Then if she pleases you, she will be satisfied more. That's what matters most in sex.
I'm dating a black young girl now. She's so cute and sweet. She broke up with her ex the last year, and she had other sexual experiences. She constantly tells me sex with me is the best, and she asks me if I put cocain or something on my dick because she's addicted LMAO. I'm not bragging myself, I just want to tell you all there's hope. From a totally crooked dick to this is just a miracle! I pound her with all my masculine rage, something that would be IMPOSSIBLE to do with my Peyronie dick. Oh, I haven't told her about the implant yet. That's curious, we had sex a lot of times but always I pumped like a magician hiding the trick. I pump even while she is sucking my dick lol.

→ Sports
I did a bungee jump once. I play football (what people call soccer in USA) and I use a cup for this. I lift heavy weights in the gym. I ride a bicycle once a week.
I think you can live a pretty normal life with an implant. However, IMO, if you are a professional athlete, things may be more complicated. Especially if you're a professional martial artist, then an implant may be a hassle for you.
Some sports may be more problematic than others. For example jiu-jitsu. I don't think your rolling partner would be happy if he feels something strange on his back. But if you use some kind of underwear with a cushion, maybe the problem is solved. I think the underwear with gel pads that people use for riding bicycles would be great here. It protects your ass but your penis too, depending on the extension of the pads.

→ Engorgement:
I wake up every day with engorgement in the glans and penis. I get excited and my penis engorges. If I'm excited, I don't need many pumps. Something like 12~15 pumps + engorgement makes my penis look very natural: hard, but not steel pipe hard. This is amazing, because it's very easy to pump 8 times, put my penis to the side in the underwear, and go to the foreplay. Then when I'm without underwear, I can easily pump till it's ok.
Something I've noted is if I slightly press the base of my penis, the engorgement gets reaaally good. I don't know the exact reason for this, but I feel the blood gets more "trapped" inside my penis and have less space to escape.
I must say that, IN MY OPINION, engorgement makes a good difference.

→ Satisfaction with the medical team:
I must say I'm very satisfied with Dr. Marco Tulio and his team. They assisted me every time I needed, even months after the surgery (August or September 2021 IIRC), when the hospital wrongly started to send me bills about the implant. I talked to the hospital financial team, but to no avail. Then I contacted Dr. Marco's secretary, and a woman named Edna that works on his team solved the problem like a charm hahaha, I got so pleased.
Dr. Marco is growing big in the business, and I think he's classified as a high-volume surgeon now. Top 1 in Brazil, for sure. He's always posting Instagram stories about the surgery cases. I don't know how many surgeries he does weekly, but I can say at least 5 according to the Instagram stories.

After all YouTube videos of him I've seen and our talk in 2021, I can say I trust him regarding Peyronie surgery and implant. He is very caring and knows the little tricks and cares this kind of surgery requires.

→ ...more talk:
I'm lucky my surgery was done before November 2021, because after this date Coloplast life-warranty policy changed. Now the warranty lasts 10 years (at least in Brazil. I don't know about the USA or another part of the world. If you know something about this, please comment below).

I'm an optimistic guy regarding all this I went through. I can't say I'm doomed because I had this disease at such a young age. I can say I'm lucky I was born at a time this surgery is available and the doctors are more open-minded to make this surgery in young folks. Imagine if we were in the '80s. I think just malleable implants were available by then, and no doctor would put one on you if you had less than 40 years old. Not even cialis and viagra were available to help you. We're blessed that there are solutions, and there's this forum to help people.
I know Hawk and I got into heated arguments in the past, but all I can say I'm very thankful for this guy. He puts effort into helping people and maintaining this forum. The information I got here changed my life and life of other men, so all I can say is a big thank you to Hawk, the admins, and all the guys that participate here and try to help each other.

It doesn't work. But that's ok, my satisfaction is still very good with the implant. My sexual life is back, this is what matters most.

Tortao,

Thanks for coming back. I have studied your journal over the past few months as I also wnet through the TEP, implant and circumsision procedure.

Glad to hear that you're very satisfied with the implant.

Few questions if you don't mind:

- how do you find sex now that you're circumsized ?
- did you gain any extra length/girth in comparison to pre peyronies due to the TEP?
- did the keloids you have ever heal?

Thanks,
J

What a great and valuable postTortão Pra Direita.  You made my day with your success story.  I too used to say the one-touch BS could only be accomplished with vise-grip pliers, but after about 6 months it started working.  I would say it works about 90% of the time.  Occasionally I have to try a second time.

Thank you for sharing this update with us. I had a member asking me if i knew what happened to you, since he was curious about your outcome. Hope that makes him at ease if he reads this.

I found it interesting what you said about the coloplast warranty policy. It's a bummer if it spreads out to other places. One can only wonder why they made that decision?

Viewing some of my posts back then, I see how nervous and worried I was even regarding small details lol.

Hello, J!

1. The skin of my penis doesn't go up and down as it used to. This is for an obvious reason: my penis has less skin. So masturbating without any lube is not as good as before. Regarding sex, it's the same thing except for one thing: if the girl is not so wet and we have a long session of sex, my penis gets a bit hurt. This is not a problem for me anymore cause I'm dating a girl that gets very wet all the time we have sex.

2. No, but I also can't remember the last time I measured. I recovered the length and girth (with the exception of the small part right below the glans. It recovered some girth but not all).

3. Not 100%. It reduced considerably but didn't solve 100%. A family member of mine ended up having breast surgery and did get small keloids in the skin. So I guess this is hereditary.

I don't know  :-\
I thought they also started to do the same thing worldwide. I hope they don't do planned obsolescence with the implants.

Thanks Tortao, appreciate it.

I am almost 7 weeks into TEP.

Last q, I have lost considerable sensitivty behind the glans (assuming due to circumsision), did this return for you?

So happy that you are doing well and satisfied with the result!

I can't remember when the sensitivity fully returned, but it returned 100%.
So don't worry. It takes some time.
I hope you get well soon! This surgery is very harsh, but you'll get better.

Hello my friend. Good to see your return.
I'm really happy with your results. I hope you can have a smooth, prolific and long-lasting sex life after all this journey.
I am very upset about this change in the warranty policy at manufacturers. It is already sooooo expensive to buy an implant here. Imagining that I would have to save up money for overhauls every ten years is really depressing. Even if they say the failure rate is low, I would have a hard time dealing with that financial sacrifice over and over again in my lifetime.
But I'm glad to hear that you were able to undergo surgery before this change.

Tortao,

Hope you're doing well and enjoying your implant.

Quick Q: Did you experience pain, and burning sensations 8-9 weeks out from TEP/implant?

I am 8 weeks out and still experiencing intermittent pain and burning. Sometimes I am pain free, other times (while deflated), I get sharp pain that lasts an hour or two.

Appreciate your response, yours is the only other TEP journal I have found.

8 weeks post-implant... No. If I remember correctly, I didn't experience this kind of pain 8 weeks after the procedure.

What does your doctor say about that?
