so ever since i got peyronie i've been very intrigued by the use of a traction device, because it promises to help with length, curvature, erectile function. what else could you want.
I've read some of the studies and was very close to buying a device.
The issue i have is that every single specialist i talked to told me that since my Peyronies Disease is caused by trauma, traction could very easily make it worse.
Of course specialists told me also things that were very wrong so i shouldn't trust them 100% (most know nothing about Peyronies Disease anyway).
In conclusion: i've found episodes where traction has helped. Does anybody have instances where it is reasonable to think that traction worsened the progression of the disease?
What are your experiences of talking to doctors about traction devices? Are all doctor skeptical?
Thank you for your replies

20 yo, I asked my doctor form Mayo Clinic the same question. He says the reason traction doesn't cause harm is because it is done in flacid state when the penis is flexible. If you put pressure on an erect penis, that's when thing go bad.
26 year old
45-50 degree downward curve with an indentation on one side when erect.
Using RestoreX and Xiaflex injections

The first couple of Dr's I visited were completely against traction. One called it a  "Midevil torture device".
I'm glad I found a Dr that is educated in peyronnies and traction. It has helped me - not a lot, but little by little.  Gentle traction.

i am seeing great improvements by using the penimaster pro 6-8 hours daily. massive improvements on girth from pre peyronies time and (i think) improvement in curvature. only started recording the curvature properly last week after about a month of noticing it, so i can't say for sure. but if memory isn't tricking me things are starting to improve  ;D

i think the key is to take it slow and listen to your body. i did a week with a few hours a day of manual traction before starting with the device and this had helped me stretch the penis, but every now and again i can feel some slight pains after 6 hours or so. in this case i just stop and resume the next day.

i will! i just logged a curvature of around 15 degrees 1 week ago. i'm at about 250 hours of traction now and plan to take another measurement at around 315 hours (100 hours after the first)

trying to space them apart so i dont get too obsessed and keep a positive mindset!

It is very easy to get obsessive about the traction and improvement, but I will agree that daily traction does help. As far as it worsening peyronies that is all subjective. We really don't know if there was too much tension being applied or if it is just the natural course of this disease.
