Hey Everyone,

So i am 31 years old, coming from germany and am also part of the Peyronie's-Club now.
So it started in mid january when experienced some pain during a nightly erection
and I discovered some small hardening places in my penis.
So i went to an urologist and he just said "i should rest and don't masturbate" for some
time and it would go away. Since it didnt go away after a month - i decided to go to another urologist.
Unfortunately the Peyronies had progressed quite a bit during that time. So now i
have the full diagnosis of a specialist (Prof. Porst) in Hamburg and after i had my diagnose since about 3 weeks,
i am finally making my first post here. :)

So he diagnosed a calcified Peyronie's desease with
35° upward and 15° left deviation. As well as a Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
My symptoms apart from those are: pain during erection, but it is not super strong (3-5/10).
My erections are a bit less strong and i have noticed some loss in length as well.
Apart from that I have no other symptoms.

So my doctors treatment plan is:
5mg Tadalafil/day (cialis)
Vitamin E daily (400 Units)
Use a traction device daily (3 hours at least)
Start with Extracorporal Shockwave-Therapy in the end of May (10-12 x).

I have bought the PMP for traction and use it 3 hours a day now (am slowly increasing that now - my aim is 6-8 hrs/daily).
All the above is most likely to be covered by my insurance (i am thankful that I am very lucky here).

Apart from that i have bought some Acetyl-L-Carnitin, L-Citrullin, L-Arginin and CoQ10 (kaneka Ubiquinol)
and will take the amounts recommended in the survivors-guide.

Other supplements i am taking: Magnesium and Vitamin D (i apparently have a great deficiency there - shown by the blood
results).

I am also trying to convince my doctors to go on pentox - so hopefully i can add that to the treatment (I showed them the studies
provided on the forum). Things i am considering: Checking out fasting; changing my diet (that is on the way now, but needs a bit time); and buying a VED-Device
in addition to the traction-device i am using.

Regarding the psychological effects i am doing quite okay - i am lucky to have amazing friends and room-mates that i could share
this with comfortably, and I am just trying not to go to much down the rabbit hole and find an appropriate amount of time to deal with
this new topic and get on with live :) Also - i am single now, so can't say how that's gonna be when i am gonna meet someone, but
i think being open about it has helped a lot so far for making it feel less weird and more normal, so i think i will go that way in case i get
to know someone.

Last but not least a question: Does anybody know if the amount of CoQ10 can be lower if it is Ubiquinol (some sources said it to be 3x-8x more effective)?
I just take 100mg Ubiquinol once a day right now and was just wondering if that is enough (as 200-400mg is recomended in the survivors guide)?

Thanks for all the great help until now - happy that there is a community here to support each other,

A warm welcome to you Primus,

I am glad that you accessed the survival guide and it has helped you get a faster start on taking action.  Consider some heat before traction (or VED).

Your psychological approach is a healthy one.  It will serve you well to be open and direct with people and it makes you a great example for others who read the forum

I am interested in how your doctor responded to the studies on Pentox.  Many doctors dislike patient suggestions.  Understandably some especially dislike patients providing internet info.  Once they read the studies however they usually at least see the validity of the information.

Best wishes and keep us posted.

Welcome Primus! You are off to a good start by being here and having what seems like an intelligent understanding DR. I also take some of the same supplements as you. My vitamin D was severely tanked so I supplement that along with the COQ10. You can do COQ10 at 200mgs a day. Costco has a liquid form that is cost effective and doesn't taste too bad.  :) Mike
