Hello fellow sufferers,

I was diagnosed with Peyronie's in 2016 I think, at 21 years old. As you can imagine, I thought my life was over and was under extreme stress for months because of it. I was online 24/7 trying to find anything that would help, and that's how i first found this forum. Now, a few years later, thought it'd be good to post some encouragement to you guys, and offer some of my experience with treatment, maybe you find it helpful.

Just today i thought about how desperate i felt, and how i almost never even think about it today. The curve was on the upper part of my penis, about 45 degrees, and pretty painful during erections. It seemed that every time i had an erection, i injured it further and it got worse by the day.
Now, a small dent, not really noticeable, is all that remains. I'd like to share what helped me the most (i believe).

If you're on pentox, i'd suggest you stay on it at least a year. I believe that because of pentox the curve remained the same in the beggining (the acute stage). That's all the drugs i took. If you have success with some other options, of course you should stay on it.

Now, as you all know, you should come at this crappy condition from different angles. I found that improving our general health is our best bet, but especially certain aspects:

1. Help your body to stop calcification of tissue that has no need for calcium. Calcification, as i understand it (not a medical professional), happens when the balance of minerals and other micronutrients in the body is wrong. I strongly believe that you do not need a plant from the top of the himalayas or depths of the ocean to deal with this, and Peyronies Disease in general.
I did this by taking:
- magnesium chloride (crystals that dissolve in the water and you drink it - disgusting at first so start small, but it's the best for absorbtion and i had no problems (diarrhea etc). You'll get used to the taste, and drink it throughout the day). This is why: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1838878/
- sun exposure or vitamin d3: i noticed i felt a lot better and felt less pain during the summer, i firmly believe that this is the reason. Vit d3 is extremely important for all sorts of things in our body.
- eating beef liver: this might sound silly, but if anything is a "superfood", this is it. Packed with all sorts of nutrients many times the required daily intake (https://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/beef-products/3470/2) but most importantly copper. Copper is important for the production of collagen and elastin in the body (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6110524/). Healthy collagen and elastin is what we want, calcification is the problem.

Also, I'd like to highlight something that maybe gets less attention than it deserves: pelvic floor health. If you have a pelvic floor dysfunction, it is possible that the bloodflow to your penis is not good. That is a big problem for us. Hyperactive (always tightened) pelvic muscles restrict the blood flow (the penis is hard to touch and cold, a condition also called "hard flaccid"), and blood that brings all that stuff you ingest from supplements to your penis needs to freely flow to have the effect.

And finally, lifestyle changes:
- get your diet in order + daily activity (even a walk is enough) to get your weight to normal if you're currently overweight
- improve your gut health: more fiber, less food in general, more fermented foods and no antibiotics unless absolutely necessary (my Peyronies Disease started after months of taking antibiotics, i don't know if there is a connection but i believe there is)
- something else i know some people will be suspicious of, and that is wim hof method. the reduction of inflammation markers on blood tests people experience with it is amazing. read about it if you don't know it. it is basically a breathing method + cold exposure. It might be one, the other or the combination, but it works (in my own experience as well). to be honest, i don't know if and how much it helped with Peyronies Disease, but if inflammation is our enemy, than i think it deserves a try. mental improvement is amazing as well.

That's it. I hope you you get better and find the peace of mind i have had for two-three years now. If one person finds some improvement with any of these, i will be really happy. Good luck

would you recommend abstinencr from. masturbation or not?
diagnosed in early 2020
shortening and indentation with dorso-lateral curvature
mild to medium ED. tried cialis and ved without any benefits, even with injury from ved

I understand you didn't have any curve reduction then?
I've been here for 1,5 years and I have tried so hard to stop masturbating and having sex but my sex drive WONT LET ME. It's devastating since I can't have satisfying sex.
I feel the inflammation gets worse after masturbation, especially.
30 degree dorsal curve, immobility and heavy loss of girth.
My body seems to get very inflamed when I masturbate too often or eat unhealthy.
Using antioxidants, Pentox and hirudoid cream, as well as manual traction, heat and Cialis.

Have you tried to ease up when ejaculating, like going very slow close to ejaculation or stopping the stimulation after the point of no return, aswell as not using kegel?

i really don't know enough to give an answer to that. in my case, i stopped masturbating for the first month or so, out of fear. erections were painful so i avoided getting them as much as i could. i don't know if it made any difference.

i'm sorry if it has been unclear. my curve is less than 10 degrees now, almost invisible. girth is back to its original state too. it has gotten much better. there is still a small, hard lump i can feel when i'm soft and if i really press it hard, it hurts, but otherwise no pain during sex, masturbation or everyday life.

i think the antibiotic correlation could be important, but i'm no doctor and don't know anyone who does research so i guess we'll never know. gut health is recently much more researched topic and it seems very important even in treating conditions that we couldn't imagine had anything to do with it

1. no traction, i couldn't afford it and to be honest it seemed like it could just make things worse and injure me even more
2. very slight, see the answer above

I think I'm activating the kegel muscles every time I ejaculate, unfortunately.
I'm going abstinent now.
Is it just me that thinks I can never reach my full potential in life with a crippled fkn dick?
It's devastating. Especially since nothing has worked yet.
The plaque causing my curve is calcified now too; I don't know if anything will make it subside...

How much time dit it take to see improvements in your case?
Did you take a pd5 inhibitor like cialis?

Thanks for your answers!

activating kegel muscles when you ejaculate is perfectly normal, that's what is supposed to happen (for me, at the beginning of my Peyronies Disease, they would clench and release without my control during erections, it was really bad, and when they clenched full strength i felt a lot of pain at my curve, which i believe led to further injury). it's bad if your pelvic floor muscles are constantly clenched during everyday life. look into pelvic floor health, and the way the position of your pelvis can influence it (anterior and posterior pelvic tilt is pretty bad for pelvic floor health, read further into it if you think you have it). i know it's extremely stressful, but i found that trying to work on it, and on your general health, is great for mental state. once again, i suggest that you add the things i write about in my original post to your routine, especially in the part about calcification, gut health and wim hof method.

thank you. when i was fighting it, i was extremely stressed out by everything and wanted to distance my thoughts from it as much as possible. i thought that some of the info and experience i learned along the way could be helpful to someone, that's why i posted this.

i believe it was 12-18 months. it might be shorter or longer for someone, or it may not work, i'm not giving you a 100% cure, just my own experience. it is not a quick solution by any means, but we have to push through it any way we can.

no cialis or any drugs other than pentox.

To be honest, i don't remember. I know i took it every 12 hours. It could've been half a pill every 12 hours, or one whole pill every 12 hours, but i don't know in miligrams.

Why so many guys talk about abstinence is healthy for the penis? Masturbation is bad?. My nocturnal erections are really weak now, the only time I have a strong erection is when I masturbate or have sex, for Peyronie's you need to have as much erections as  you can to strech the tissue and bring oxygen to the penis. If I do abstinence, I'm afraid to get more atrophy. But I don't know, I'm not an "expert" in penis health
My first symptoms started early in 2019
I tried Traction device, Pentofixiline, Q10, TRT, L-Argenine, cialis
I have narrowing/dent/hinge on the left side of my shaft
My ED is getting worse
Had a PRP shot Aug 2021
I have a girlfriend
Age 46

As for abstinence vs masturbation - I think it's more a matter or letting the penis rest to heal.  The philosophical or religious discussion is different, but as for medically, I think we talk here more about rest, especially given the large number of guys who use death grip or pretty aggressive ways of jacking off. Those certainly have the probability of further aggravating or exacerbating already damaged tissue.
Nick, Peyronie's for about 2 years
Good results so far with traction, pump, ADS
Have seen 4 Urologists, each one worthless

Thank you very much for your advices @blueowl,
I am thinking seriously on starting with pentox and magnesium chloride.
Would you recomend your treatment for someone with Peyronies Disease for 1 year and a half?
What would you say was the treatment that made the best for you of all the things that you have said?
28yo, circumcised 2008, diagnosed july2020
indentation below bended glans 5-deg
traction expert, started with 15-deg
currently committed
looking for new treatment & give advice ;)

I don't think abstaining is something that MD's necessarily recommend. However, when I have inflammation, and HF in response to that inflammation, abstaining surely helps me a lot.
