Can someone please explain the science behind VED?

Hello guys,
Traction works by holding tissue static and stretched. For lengthy periods. To remould. For example penis out streight. But how does VED work to benefit peyronie's symptoms?

A VED session is typically 10-15 mins. Not likely to impact tissue remould. Certainly it opens up the capillaries. Increases blood flow, which is obviously good but then what?

Am thinking of incorporating it my routine, but would like to be more informed. Please can someone answer this question?

Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.

When done 2 or 3 times a day, I think it adds some stretch and oxygenation, which is critical for healthy penis tissue.

If you get natural day-time and night-time erections, it could be argued that the one-cylinder VED is not doing that much for you.
If you do not get good erections, I would use the VED right before and right after traction for oxygenation.

Hawk is right. my doctor said for this to do anything it has to be used 2-3 times a day for a few minutes each for many months. he said effects take a long time and so you should plan to use this for 6 months round about

I would like to add to Hawk's post, that VED helps me to fill my glans completely with blood. Since I've gotten Peyronies Disease, my glans doesn't become really hard because of the hinge effect. With VED this condition improves more and more and PTT improves my curvature. That's why I use both in combination with the most recommmended supplements and Tadalafil.

maybe i am too stupid but i cannot get the ved to work. i just never get even close to an erection, it is just a slightly bigger flaccid, i do not want to over pump though

How do you judge if you are over-pumping?   Pressure gauge, pain ???

it is hard to describe. i put my flacid in there and pump and it just does not do much from a certain point on. it is hardly an erection. at some point i have to upload pictures here because it is hard to describe but it never gets far from a slightly bigger flaccid penis. erection, no chance not even close with this ved. i gauge overpumping by the girth at the base. because while my penis does not inflate overal, the lower 1/3 gets extremely thick, much wider than my normal erection-that cannot be good in my estimations. so i stopped. i pump and wait a few seconds but nothing happens.

I honestly have to theorize here because I have never had that issue, and I cannot observe what you are doing.  I have to imagine.

My first thought is that unless you feel clear noticeable discomfort (not pain), I would increase the vacuum.

If the base of my penis expanded and actually got an erection but the blood (thus expansion/erection) seemed to stop at mid-shaft, then I would not wait just a few seconds.  I would hold that for several minutes, up to maybe 20 minutes.  I believe blood flow through the cavernosa cannot possibly be totally blocked, and the blood will eventually migrate to the distal part of the penis. As that process starts, even a little, I would then give another pump or two.  As it progresses, I would again continue to give another pump or two with each bit of progression.

If all of that proved futile, I would slide a restriction band from off of the VED onto my penis, remove the VED, and gently milk/message the blood into the distal end of my penis.  Then I might remove the band, put the VED back on, and see if the entire penis could become engorged.

Old Man

Hawk:

I read many posts about how to successfully get good therapy results from VED usage. I need to remind new VED member users that the majority of questions I see in posts on the forum and in PMs to me for clarification are covered in protocols.

Most all of these questions are covered very well in the protocols for VED usage. If you would, do me a favor and post the links to both the one and three cylinder VED protocols in an answer to this post from me.

Many thanks, Old Man

Here are the protocols that Old man was referring to.  They should be adhered to.  My confusion is that This_Life describes a condition where he cannot even get an erection which seems to be a question not addressed by the protocol.

Mr man

Hello hawk,

When I started experimenting using VED. The first night. My nightly erections went bionic. As they were in my 20's  They where not bad previously and I don't consider myself to have a erection difficulties.

Have decided will begin with gentle VED. short 10 min sessions. Twice a week. See how it goes. Just to preserve what I have and maybe assit recovery. Progress for me is going ok. I don't want to shake the apple cart too much.

Thanks for your thoughts.

What exactly is the hinge effect people speak of? Also has anyone had weird changes happen to glans?

Hi all.

Quick question: it is the same to use VED in stand-up position or lying on bed?

I'm using it after a grafting procedure for rehabilitation and improve of venous leakage.

Thank you.

If the part of your penis after a plaque isn't as hard as before the plaque, that's called the hinge effect. The softer part is movable like a hinge.

Even if the area beyond the plaque is erect, a narrowing at the plaque can cause the penis to be unstable and bend like a hinge.
