I know members have used Voltaren or similar products that are applied topically.  It contains Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).  I am not sure of the results.  My wife uses it for neck pain, and I often wonder if we should recommend it in our Survivors Guide for New Members".  Back when I had pain, I am not even sure it was available, so I have no experience with it for Peyronies Disease pain.

I use a gel twice per day and it works well for me in terms of reducing pain. Diclofenac also has some anti-inflammatory properties which my current doctor says might be good against Peyronies Disease.

The problem that I have found is that the strongest versions that are used in some of the scientific studies (e.g. 5-7 mg/g) require a prescription and the doctors I have met have been reluctant to prescribe it. The stuff that is sold over the counter is weaker (2 mg/g) and less effective.

I was also prescribed the strong Diclofenac in pill-form 3 years ago (1 g) and it didn't do much for the pain compared to the gel.

Thanks, guys!  In theory, I seems it should or at least could reduce inflammation directly at the penis but seems few if any see results.

Even the 1% was prescription in the US until last year.  Now it is OTC and 2% is not available by any means in the US.

My wife orders 2% OTC from Canada for neck pain.

In my experience a prescription of doclofenac is far superior for certain Types of pain ..especially thinks like nerve pain, kidney stones, post op etc

Hey guys,

After reading lots of posts about diclofenac on the forum in the past few years, I finally convinced my uro to prescribe me a 4% topical preparation.

Although it did help with pain in very acute moments (ie right after sex or masturbation), it did very little, or actually nothing, regarding chronic pain and inflammation. Therefore, I don't recommend it that much.

BUT, thanks to this forum too, I discovered a few weeks ago what seems to be a HUGE game changer for me: Hirudoid cream. Check this post about this subject: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,14942.0/topicseen.html. I've been using it everyday for 1 month and half now, and I'm starting to be 100% positive it's life-changing in the pain department. I'll continue my regimen for a few weeks in order to evacuate all potential confounding factors, then I'll make a big exhaustive report.

In any case, don't hesitate in trying it ASAP!!

Cheers,

That's very interesting Gabriel. But what's the difference between Voltaren (Diclofenac) and Hirodoid cream?
Voltaren caused be pain and it was a weird feeling... how is Hirodoid?
I'm ordering some as I'm writing this lol, no time to waste.
Have you had any side effects using it?
Thanks man.
