Struggling to use restoreX - My glands are getting squashed in the clamp - i've used foam and stuck it to the clamp which helps a bit.

Is this the correct way to use it ?

Do you guys use it seated or standing?

Is this stretch still effective or must I only stretch counter-bend?

Sometimes my glands is squashed flat i'm worried about getting injured, is this normal ? Or the clamp just holds the foreskin still allowing for a stretch but eventually it slips out.

PLEASE HELP.

Thanks

Hey,

I have to admit I have had the same questions myself.

To answer the larger question - yes, that seems to be the right way to use it. In the beginning, do not bother so much about burying the white lines. Later, you can increase the tension a bit so that you can no longer see the white lines on the black rods, this is a sign that the max amount of traction is applied.

For each session, apply first straight traction (like in the picture) and then counter-bending. The Restorex manual should detail how you should change this over time. You can do it only straight but the counterbending feature is really effective against Peyronies Disease. When I first started, the 1st click of counterbending was incredibly painful. Now I am on the 4th, which looks insane but apparently works as my curvature is decreasing. If you have not seen it already, I also recommend watching this video where Dr Trost explains how to use it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v42XPREz6U&t=10s

I usually wrap the glans in thicker and stretchy gauss for some extra comfort and to avoid slippage. Just pull the foreskin back to ensure that it is not the skin that is being stretched, and wrap the glans and the area just below the glas with with something. Taping the clamp with brown sports tape also helps with increasing the friction and prevent slippage.

I usually lie down in bed while using the device. Alternatively sitting down. I do not feel comfortable walking around with it and feel like I should remain still.

In terms of injury, I think the glans is very durable. On some other thread I read that a member had been in contact with Dr Trost who said that the glans can technically be in the clamp for up to 12 hours without danger, it is completely normal if it gets cold and dark purple during use. I take breaks sometimes while using it, like 15 min of use, short break and light stretch to get the blood circulating again and then then do another 15 min.

I do 15 min straight and 15 min of counterbend twice a day btw, but I have also used the device for 4 months now. There is that step-by-step guide in the manual like I said.

Flattening - Thanks so much for your response.

The stretch just seems quite insane lol, never thought a penis could stretch that far iwithout injury!

After just 15 mins of light straight stretch I felt my penis was fuller n thicker so I assume the stretch is working.

Are you heating the penis up first prior to stretching?

Have you seen much success over the 4 months?

Which VED are you using? I was seeing great results with the 3 Cylinder however, overpumping (carelessness on my end) resulted in further injury. I'm now focusing on traction.

I am also starting keto in a week and YK11, will do a post up about it if its effective.

Thanks again,

Hello there... Yes that appears to be correct. However you do need to lose the white lines. This may take a few sessions. I also counter bend  as well, doing  15 minutes each two times a day. As far as clamping goes I had an issue at the start with the head slipping as well. Honestly I just had to, use the tape that came with the unit and clamp a bit harder. You will get use to it fairly quickly. I however am circumscribed so I'm not sure how the extra foreskin adds a bit more challenge. On a side note i have been using this for 3 months along with Xiaflex shots and  have realized a  20 degree reduction in my curve so stick with it. Its a frustrating and slow process but there are no other options. Good luck

jj21 - Yes I agree, it is an adjustment seeing your penis stretched that way. Then again, this is a device that has been developed to do this as safe and efficiently as possible.

I am using the 'rice sock' method. That is, stuffing rice in a sock that you microwave and use to heat up the penis before and during traction. Works really well for me and makes a big difference compared to before I did that. I recommend doing something similar, it helps to avoid further injury and improves the stretching ability.

I have definitely seen a big improvement in curvature, EQ, and pain levels since starting with Restorex and light VED. The supplements I take may be involved as well but I am not sure. The VED I am using is some German one that was recommended to me by my doc, it's a manual one that works alright. It is crucial not to overpump but I know how hard it can be...I have tried to take it really easy and it has worked out fine for me thus far.

Mr man

Your pic looks right. I also used foam. There was pain when first tried but I managed to cut the right size. Then the pain was gone.

It's trial and error. Just try different foams, tapes. Have you tried the tape it came with?

I think it's just trial and error.

I use the device lying down, because then it will bend and with it's hard traction. Will definitely cause injury.

Lye down and hold the device facing streight up. Making sure it doesn't fall.

Am using the counter bend. It doesn't aligh to penis bend (for me).

Thanks guys.. how exactly do you lose the white lines?

And I'd there still benefit if I don't counter bend just yet?

I'm very scared of further injury.

Thanks

Dude,

Sorry had a closer look. Your on the wrong setting to get rid of the white line.

From your pic. At the back of device. Slide the clip horizontally to lower the upper half all the way down the rod. You have it set mid to high. This is wrong. Always start at the bottom.

Now clamp in the glans. Then press the top of the device to initiate the springs. Tension will begin. The lines will now dissapear at the correct tension. If they have not.

Keep the glans clamped in. Depress the top half. To bring the springs to zero tention. Push the clip. And raise the top part of the device. Untill there is a tiny amount of tension. Then press the top half down to initiate the springs again. If that doesn't work. Your too big for the rods.

Swap them over for the long rods. Then repeat the above process.

And yes... Don't start the counter bend streight away. Give it about 6 weeks. Penis will be far more stretched and ready for the counter bend.

Just to clarify - this is indeed correct. jj21, if you do not get exactly how this works from this description, that video I shared above with Dr Trost shows exactly how to do this step to increase traction and bury the white lines.

This actually doesn't look correct to me. You need to pull back the foreskin otherwise the tension will be applied to the skin and not the shaft. You also need to make sure to "free" up the penis at the base. Basically if you feel that skin is being pulled anywhere, you're doing it wrong.

I have tried everything you said. Even extended the rods to the end for an extreme stretch.. The white lines still show.. what am I doing wrong ?

What about the location of the actual clamp? I am talking about the screws that you can move in order to change the location of the clamp up and down in between usage. That location needs to be adapted for the counterbending-function, to ensure that the bend is taking place by the main plaque.

It looks to me as though you have put it at the closest point to the body. If you would try and move the clamp one notch further away from the body, this might make that difference.

Flat - I did as you said and moved the clamp to the farthest screw... now I can bury the white lines but I have to go 5 clicks on the pelvic ring... This seems like an insane amount of traction to begin with... is this recommended and safe ? I don't want to cause any further injury.. or am I still doing something wrong ?

Also what happens is the white line is buried but after 5 minutes of traction shows up again. Seems this is a result of more tension? I'm confused.

Thanks again,

Hey,

It can just mean that your penis is too long for the Restorex. You can also try adjusting exactly where you place the clamp. I sometimes clamp down 0.25 cm below the glans when counterbending just to stretch the tissue slightly differently. That works well for me but I am not sure what the recommendations are regarding this tbh.

I think I started with 3 clicks on the pelvic ring and went up to 5 at the end. It is not an insane amount of traction, the traction is determined by whether the white lines are showing or not as that indicates how the tense springs driving the traction are. For me, I also need to add a few clicks during each session as well, this is because the tissue stretches and is normal.

You could also email the Restorex support if you have questions regarding your length and the device. They have been helpful when I have contacted them. The adress is on the Restorex-page.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, so even if the white lines are showing but I've gotten through 3-5 clicks I am getting a good stretch ? I've also tried the longer rods - same issue..

Sometimes on 4 clicks I can get the white lines to disappear but after five mins of traction they show up which actually cause more tension/traction - is this okay/ safe?

Thanks again, I will email restorex.

So, as far as I understand it, if the white lines are not showing and you have made sure the skin isn't taking part of the traction, then you are getting the right amount of traction.

I have always had to use the longer rods to make the white lines disappear. If the white lines are showing, despite you having gotten through a few clicks, the tissue is stretching but not as much as you might want to. In the early stages of traction this is fine, but after a week or so you might want to try and bury the white lines.

For me, I start the traction on like 3 clicks and then add 2-3 clicks during a session with the straightening setting. So I'd say that is normal, as it is also what Dr Trost has explained previously. I would even continue and add clicks until the white lines aren't showing, if possible. With the counterbend setting I use way fewer clicks.

I figured it out. I am not clamping the head tight enough into the clamp so the penis is not held tightly to apply enough tension. It also slips slightly after 5 minutes of traction causing  the white lines to show.

Any tips on how I can fix this ? I feel if I clamp the head any tighter it will cause further injury.
