I was recently at a vitamin shop, and saw some L-Arginine. The directions on the back said to only take 1 to 2 pills a day. Each pill is 500 mg. To use L-Arginine as an Erectile Dysfunction drug, I've heard of guys on the forum taking like 3000-5000 mg a day. They said that it worked well for them, but that doesn't sound safe to me at all. So therefore, I was wondering, can you take more than 1000 mg of L-Arginine all at once?

PS: DONT TAKE ANY L-ARGININE IF YOU ARE ALSO TAKING A P-DE5 INHIBITOR

2 - 5g is common depending on your body weight. 500mg is low.
The Peyronie's study used about 2g a day for for a 190pound guy such as myself).

It's been shown to reduce Peyronie's symptoms combined with other drugs, and it does combat Erectile Dysfunction.
The only downside is that it's been shown to cause insulin resistance at prolonged use. So the science is a bit messy.

@NeoV thanks for the clarification, I'll definitely consider it as a treatment option.

@Juan studies have shown that in 8% of men, the combination of a nitrate and a PDE-5 inhibitor can cause a precipitous drop in blood pressure, as much as 40 mm Hg, which could cause sudden cardiac death or other signs of vascular insufficiency. L-Arginine is not a nitrate, but it does increase nitrate levels in the body. Also, if you research drugs like Viagra & Cialis on Roman.com, it explicitly states that you shouldn't be taking both nitrates and Erectile Dysfunction drugs at the same/around the same time for that exact reason. Therefore, it's better to be safe than sorry and to not take both a PDE-5 inhibitor and any nitrate or supplement that enhances nitrate levels in the body. Thanks for the clarification.
I have high blood pressure so have to monitor it frequently.
In my case even with 3000mg citruline and 2,5mg tadalafil (taken separately) my blood pressure doesn't drop so I'll continue taking both at least some more time and then will take a rest from citrulin.

@Juan how has citruline been for your erections/NTE's? Does it work well?

I started citrulin before cialis as It took me some time to get the cialis prescription.
While I was only with citrulin I had no nte, but since the very first day I stared cialis I am having nocturnal erections every night.
Have to say that I'm still a bit worried about my nocturnal erections as I think they are very long lasting and I'm paranoid with priapism.

No porn and nofap sure also helps.

That means that 92% of men do NOT have a precipitous drop in blood pressure.  Peyronies Disease specialists combine these on a routine basis. If combined I would start gradually to see what effect it has on you.  I used to combine them regularly.

Also, weight lifters and bodybuilders routinely take doses far over 5,000 mg
