RestoreX: Cannot bury the white lines.

Does anyone else struggle to bury the white lines? I have the extended rods in place and I get to the 4-5th notches and still the white lines don't budge. Afraid to go any further to risk ripping the poor thing off, or is it intended to cause such strong traction?

I would say it depends on how recent your injury is. If you're early, you don't want to cause too much new tearing. But if your body is already starting to lay down scar tissue then yes you're meant to apply that much traction.  I would say start slow and over a few days get to the white lines, but it's important to stay in the tension therapy zone.

I didn't attempt the extended bar until after about a week. This injury probably happened about two months ago.

However, just two days ago I noticed that some of the benefits that I've been getting from traction had diminished some. Specifically, my penis has been feeling a bit more "tough" in the flaccid state (however not like it was before traction). Also, the improved erectile function has diminished as well. These adverse side-effects didn't surface until I tried to reach the white lines.

I'm afraid that I've caused more damage, although I'm not entirely sure how or why this would happen. I've been using the RestoreX as instructed. Should I continue to do traction but more modestly? Any suggestions? This is all very distressing, and feels like a step in the opposite direction.

Ok since the injury was two months ago I think it's ok to progress to the white lines. Don't let fear get in your head. The studies have shown that traction is safe and effective.

What you're feeling is probably just natural progression of the disease. Don't stop doing traction and keep ramping up the time IMO.

EVEN if you caused a new injury stopping traction is the worst thing you can do. Because any new injuries will simply contract and cause shortening, curving, etc.

In fact, you should supplement your traction with VED. VED for girth/dents and traction for length/curves.

You've caught it early and have an excellent device, just add VED and keep at it.

Best.

That's what I'm going to do; however, for now I'm using the standard rods again for a little while. This injury is new yes, but I have had the disease itself for over 10 years.

I mentioned in another thread that Dr. Trost told me that plaque pain is common, since you're essentially pulling at the injury, not letting it contract. He also added that traction can make the pain persist longer for this reason. It's just triply to improve with traction initially, then regress (once going for heavier traction), although it does makes sense I suppose.

Hey,

I also waited like 1-2 weeks before burying the white lines in order not to tear the tissue further. I had to use the extended rods straight away though, but every man is different.

It still hurts sometimes while I use it (4 months and counting) but it definitely hurts less now compared to the first month. If I feel a sharp pain I usually stop, open the clamp and then restart. Just go slow and listen to your body. Also, make sure to use a heat pad or the like to warm the tissue up.

When I asked my doctor about pain he too said that the risk of a device such as Restorex causing further injury, as long is it is used properly, is very small.

Yeah, I just started with the standard rods due to caution. Dr. Trost reassured me that I need to be burying the lines, else I'm not getting any true traction.

I believe Trost is right in that. Having buried the white lines is probably when you get the right amount of traction. I am just set on using Restorex for at least a year, if not more. Therefore, waiting a few weeks to build yourself up to the right amount of traction makes sense to me, in terms of overcoming pain and slowly preparing the tissue for that more intense traction.

I also had to go for the extended rods as the standard ones were too short for me...

I think I found my traction zone finally lol. Just the response of the penile tissues after traction (kind of rubbery) and the "hard flaccid" (not sure if I have true hard flaccid). Which is probably not actually hard-flaccid, but due to inflammation (since I don't have it all of the time, or even daily), just freaks me out a little.

Great, i think that if your penis feel elastic and soft then that's the sweet spot. You may indeed have inflammation so it might not make sense to go all out with traction - i think what you've been doing is good.

You may want to take Pentoxifilline, do low-inflammation diet, and VERY light VED. For my hard flaccid excercise, relaxing, l-citrulline, cialis, and pentox helped a lot.

Yeah, I feel some twinges when doing traction, but oddly enough the pain improves after everything is stretched out. I'm abstaining right now, but I do try to focus to get erections, especially after traction. I'm also taking Vitamin E, Coq10, L-Arginine, L-Carnitine and omega 3's. I even take the occasional Advil if the pain is too bad. The RestoreX seems to be preventing tissue retraction significantly, which is amazing. I'm chalking the other symptoms up to disease progression, pain and anxiety about it all.

Nevertheless, thanks for taking time to respond.

Sounds like you are having a good approach, great to hear that it is already having effect!

To counter the pain and inflammation further, I would also recommend topical Diclofenac twice a day if you have not already tried it. Definitely helped me.

Flattening- Thanks for the info! Yeah, I'm shifting my approach, I've had this condition for 11 years, and regretfully I never did much besides transfermal verapamil. I'm hoping traction can be the game changer and hopefully I don't have any calcification. I got past the major psychological distress long ago, so I'm optimistic! Really though, thank you all for the advice.

I'm having a similiar issue - no matter what I do the white lines show..

I've tried the extended rods and even going to full clicks with the pelvic ring.

Best that happened was I buried the white lens then 5 minutes into traction they appeared again as more tension applied by the device.

Am I using the device incorrectly ? Have tried everything. Even tried it with a pull that stretched my penis with an insane amount of traction.

It seems on my device, as more tension is applied the white lines show.

Please help as I am concerned that I am either not applying enough traction or that I wil cause further injury.

Thanks

Hey jj... But all I've head read here you must be using the device incorrectly or not using the bigger extension rods.

There are a couple of videos online on how to apply the device as well as support documentation. Why not go through it all again, multiple times? I found it very confusing at first to understand...

jj21

I figured it out. I am not clamping the head tight enough into the clamp so the penis is not held tightly to apply enough tension. It also slips slightly causing the white lines to show.

Any tips on how I can fix this ? I feel if I clamp the head any tighter it will cause further injury.

Have you tried a) wrapping the glans with something like gauss or b) tried applying some sort of tape to the actual clamp to increase the friction? That has worked for me at least, have to change both of these from time to time but def makes the Restorex easier to use for me.

Hello Flattening,

I finally figured the device out, I have the extended rods on, and figured out how to wrap the glans so it doesn't slip.

Thank you.
