How does the implants engorge the head?

Sorry if odd question, but I'm beginning to think that an implant might be a serious option for me.  I just wondered how an implant replicates the blood rushing to fill the head.  Are the tubes more bulbous at the tip?

In theory, doctors say that if your glans engorges BEFORE the implant, then it will do after. This because, as crazy as it may seem, glans and corpora cavernosa (where the implant cylinders are) are two different parts of the penis. Glans is directly connected to the urethra, while corpora cavernosa sustains the shaft and its surrounded by the tunica albuginea.

So the blood supply to the glans comes from: - Corpus spongiosum in the urethra; - Neurovascular bundle in the upper part of the shaft. None of those are affected by an implant.

Unfortunately, i've heard about some guys which used to have glans erections BEFORE the implant and which dont have anymore after the implantation. I guess you'll have to be a little bit lucky.

Really? Damn. Maybe it was a botched surgery? Did you hear about these cases here in the forum? I'd like to read.

Well no botched surgery actually, it was a simple surgery without any other complications as far as i know. If you dig into FT a little bit, you'll find out some stories

I have never heard of a man who had only an implant (without additional surgery) and ended up with less erect glans than he had before surgery.   I have been here and on other forums and spoken to top surgeon for 15 years.

At FT there are plenty stories of men with implants that have issues with the implants, but on this site seems that everyone got no problems, they all have great experiences. At this point, I feel like my only option is the implant, but I'm extremely scare about it, after having terrible past experiences with urologists. If I was 100% sure that the surgery won't cause me an infection, that the implant won't break, implant malfunction, erosion, shrinkage, more scaring......

Then get a surgeon that has the lowest infection rate and has no shrinkage.

Scarring after an implant is never an issue unless a butcher does surgery

The only concern left is a malfunction.  If that happens, what is the worst outcome?  The answer is that you would be like you are now, unable to have intercourse, so you are basically living like you have a malfunctioning implant already.

Every single article I read, stated that the problem with the implants is that the "head" of the penis doesn't engorged and in some cases it gets "floppy". The question is , why every single member with an implant in this forum say that their glans engorged? Who is saying the truth?. Even Dr Eid who is supposed to be the best in the world is talking about this issue.

Bad luck, I'll be honest here.  That annoys me.  Are you calling me a liar???

There is no mystery here except that you are not paying attention and refuse to understand.  A properly installed implant does not help or hurt the engorgement of the glans.  It is just like it was before surgery, no better, no worse.  Whether it engorges after surgery depends on whether it engorged before surgery.

Keep in mind that Dr. Eid implanted half the men here.  The other half were almost all implanted by well-known, high volume surgeons.  There are only 2 things that can affect a glans.  Technically only one.  That is significantly mis-sizing an implant.  If an implant's cylinders do no extend into the glans and the glans did not engorge before surgery, that combination will cause the glans to sag or flop.  A much smaller risk is overseeing, and the cylinders pressing into the glans so far that they can interfere to some degree with engorgement IF the patient could get natural erections before surgery.

Both of these are blunders not committed by competent, high volume, surgeons.  There is a high incidence of men on other forums going to local surgeons with company reps in the OR coaching surgeons.  A higher percentage of those will pay the price.

Now, if you read the forum, then you know we just had our first case of undersized implant this week by a non-recommended surgeon.

If you think we have some stupid reason to lie, or if you don't trust us, then don't waste time here and don't waste our time replying to your posts.  Go to the forum you believe in and follow their advice.

I just read the articles written by surgeons and urologists. I want to have an implant, and I hope you are right, but then why there is no one single article saying that the glans engorged with an implant?. I only ask questions, because the implant surgery is very expensive and is no way back once is done

@bud luck; It depends upon the anatomy of your penis. Watch this video.

There are resources and videos online. Especially on youtube, from renowned doctors on this. You missed them for sure, and you ended up calling Hawk a liar. I have no problems if you had disagreed with him. And backed up your statements with good proof of why you disagree. But no. Also, i've been on FT way longer than you and i have read COUNTLESS diaries and stories. Both good and bad. I also read Urological association's guidelines on the management of ED. The good largely outweighs the bad. And as with all procedures and medical devices there will be cases of medical malpractice and poor outcomes.

It is up to you, the future patient, to inform yourself the best way possible and to do a thorough research on the procedure you want to have and think as logically as possible on the ups and downs of the procedure.

Just as an example... you say you are so confused about the information you read... Why haven't you scheduled yet a video consultation with Dr. Eid? You can talk to thim through the comfort of your own home and he will have answers to your questions, that's almost a given.

Hawk

Just because the head of your penis is not engorged does not mean it is unstable or you can't have sex.  The difference between an engorged head might mean something to you but it is very unlikely a woman would have a clue with a properly installed implant even with oral sex.

She will however notice if you cannot have intercourse which is the only reason men get implants.

This entire obsession is stupid.

I'm the unlucky guy that Hawk mentioned here who had an implant done recently that was not measured correctly, I was left with a glans that just flops down when the implant is activated. As for sex with the way it is now I can penetrate and reach climax even with the way the glans are now. I'm taking Hawks advice and have a consultation scheduled with Dr Eid in February. The way it is now my penis with the implant pumped up looks like the old Concorde jet with the jets nose tipped down, not the way anyone would want theirs to look like after this surgery.

You are definitely right on track if you are talking to Dr Eid. Whilst you can have sex that is very dangerous and not a good outcome. You deserve better. Please don't quit until you are satisfied!
