If i manage to get my penis back to being straight with traction, does that mean i no longer have scar tissue or does it mean that my scar tissue is now stretched and functioning like a normal tissue? People are saying traction and erections are "remodeling" i dont understand that term.

if not with traction, can we get healthy tissue to replace scar tissue ever?

I'm pretty new to all this but i think the general consensus is yes.

Mayo clinic says:
"Traction devices place tension on the flaccid penis. The force is translated to the penile plaque and promotes remodeling via a biomechanical process known as mechanotransduction."

And this:

Says:
"Mechanotransduction, or gradual expansion of tissue by traction, leads to the formation of new collagen tissue by cellular proliferation. As a molecular result, continuous extension of the fibrous plaque causes significant increases in collagenase and metalloproteinases, and, ultimately, to fibrous plaque softening and extension."

I cant understand if it means new scar tissue which is laid during a stretched state(and therefore more flexible) or new healthy tissue.

Im still not sure if the scar tissue even replaces healthy tissue, or if it just sits there in addition to the healthy tissue

Here is a study dated 2011. It talks about the potential for PDE5 inhibitors (like sildenafil, aka Viagra, vardenafil, others) and pentoxyfilline to contribute to reducing or even reversing penile fibrosis. This biochemistry is a little over my head but I can get some of the big picture ideas by reading some of the conclusions (like the section titled "Peyronie's Disease").

I am taking pentoxyfilline and sildenafil every day right now (along with a pile of supplements), and I've seen some of my nodules/plaques reduce in size or disappear. Unfortunately I had others appear in the past year, I think due to over-aggressive VED, and so I'm hoping the pentox/sildenafil cocktail I'm taking can help with the new ones. Overall I hope there's a chance of reducing or reversing fibrosis by taking pentox and sildenafil, and focusing on improving blood circulation by exercising and doing stretches that improve things "down south". Doing mild hand traction and massage also, and warm clothing.

Well then this leaves me wondering why this disease is considered to have no cure, and why those who fix the curve are still at a higher risk for reinjury
