hello everyone

3 months in to the disease and no serious changes have happened yet. No palpable plaque yet but definitely noticing my penis hour-glassing a bit when flaccid sometimes and have pain in specific areas of my penis where I think the plaques could be developing. Currently on all the supplements and have been advised by Old Man not to start VED or traction until the pain in my acute phase has stopped. I am doing low carb but not cutting out carbs entirely (eating beans, fruits, etc). My question is I've been having more pain than usual lately... is there a direct relationship between pain and disease progression in people's experience? As in more pain = the disease progressing faster?

i know so far im lucky but its only been a few months and its the not knowing that really bugs me... for all i know i could wake up tomorrow and have an unusuable penis which really scares me. Been having a lot of mental issues with this recently hopefully it will stabilize soon.

-tried traction but seemed to make it worse so just waiting it out

Hey,

Sorry for not being able to help you with your question, but I wanted to ask you: no traction until the pain has stopped completely? Is there a specific thread where that was recommended? I also was diagnosed only a few weeks back, still trying to figure all this out. My doctor told me to do traction, haven't started yet though. Also might feel that it might be counterproductive atm.
- mid 20s
- bend started November 2020
- acute phase? Some pain, not much, but bend to the left 30 to 40 degrees and left side starting to shrink
- not doing traction yet, planning on trying restoreX

it is mixed here on this forum. Although most people on here say traction is beneficial in the acute phase, for some it makes it worse. I tried it and it just pissed my crap off even more. My uro said it can cause more microtrauma and old man on the forum told me in big caps to not start any form of traction as it can and will cause more damage to the corpora chambers. He also told me to not start VED until the condition stabilizes as it can aggravate the condition as well. My advice is start with light manual traction like 10 min a day then see how you feel.

I would also advise talking to your urologist about taking daily cialis and pentox as well as taking the following supplements:

ALCAR 1g twice daily
Coq10 300mg daily

these are the only two i am taking atm but im sure you can find a whole list of other supplements to take if you search throught the forum.

Also curious about possible answers on the pain question.

Lately I am not feeling any serious pain (1,5 month in since my injury), so I am asking the same question. Still feeling some discomfort after ejaculating/having sex, but it's getting better as weeks pass by.
37yo
Congenital curvature plus injury during sex - dec.2019
Curve to the left increase plus pain ~35degrees - nov.2020
Pentox (400mgx3) + Cialis (2.5mg/day) + supplements - dec.2020
Traction - jan.2021 onwards (curve now ~22/25degrees)

Thank you for your advice. I will do exactly that, try some traction and see how it feels. I did buy some supplements too, will start with those once I'm done with my 4 day fast.

But back to topic: I'd be interested in an answer to the pain question as well.
