Hi fellas.

I'm 38y/o and I was born with congenital curved penis (>+90° towards the left). I had a Nesbit when I was 21y/o, but it failed.

5 days ago, I had a grafting procedure here in France and recovery has been good so far. I have some questions though:

- I still notice a little curvature to the left, is it normal since my swollen penis is still in recovery phase?
- Now I have to use the pump (VACURECT) twice a days 10 minutes each. Should I use it more? Like 3 or 4 times a day?

Any experience regarding my questions is appreciate.

I think it is too soon to be using VED, unless it is very gentle. I recently had grafting and I was told by my surgeon to wait at least 4 weeks before using it in anger. Surely if you only had grafting 5 days ago you would still have a compression bandage?

3 days after the surgery, I took off the bandages as per surgeon’s instructions.

Yes, I’m using it gently. Surgeon said that there is no risk of use even after 5 days post surgery.

Just for info, surgeon is using a “new type of graft” which is more effective on its own words but to be honest, I have no idea if this is truth or not.

Tell me, you still have the bandages?

Yes:

4 years ago he said no grafting bcs it is too risky, so he recommended me Yachia.

This year, he said grafting is possible since he is using a new type of material

How was your recovery from your surgery with Beley? Or if anyone here has heard from Notmeplease as he never replied to me :/

We don't have many experts in peyronies/curvatures in France that could help us, I try to reference the best in France, I had my surgery by the « best known » in France (Faix) but it was a failure just like 2 other guys on the forum,
I was able to meet Sebastien Beley and he didn't inspire confidence in me
After that it's nothing in France

I saw that Notmeplease's last post talked about venous leakage, so I'm afraid that his surgery was not a success :/

I think Dr. Galiano is quite renowned in all stuff related to andrology, but he definitely did not inspire me confidence either. According to his Google Maps reviews, most people seem to have had a better experience than me, but he felt so condescending and dismissive that I would simply not trust him with having surgery with him.

Never went to see Beley, but I believe he is somewhat the same kind of "star-urologist" whose ego and desire to make money just grew a bit too much too quickly that I would have trouble having total confidence in them. Naturally, this is only my humble opinion and people can disagree!

As such, I'm afraid I cannot be of great help, but I'm definitely following this part of the thread with interest.

I had an appointment with Galiano

He explained to me that his surgery has to be redone every 10 years because the sutures only hold during this period and the curvature comes back
This is unheard of, I will never go to see this guy!

I had the same effect as you with Beley, the most important thing for him seemed to be the money I was going to give him for the surgery

I'm really lost ... it's unbelievable that we have to go abroad to dodge all these clowns

Yes I understand your concern.

More generally, I'd have to say I'm left wondering to what extent private urologists/andrologists  such as the Dr. Galiano or Dr. Beley are more competent than the ones who are working in public hospitals. I guess part of your competence comes down to how often you do some kind of surgery and there are good reasons to think that Beley or Galiano. But at the same time, from my experience, all of these "star urologists" are a bit weird.

Surely if you only had grafting 5 days ago you would still have a compression bandage?

My surgeon in the uk, Mr Rowland Rees, who performed my failed incision and grafting surgery, was not concerned after my dressing fell off after a couple of hours.  He saw me in the morning and said the bandages didn’t need to be replaced.

I think this was a significant part of why the procedure failed, as the graft healed in a contracted state.  Although I cannot get any legal representative to share my opinion.
