Hi guys,

I just got my Andropeyronie traction device in the mail and put it together. It's very uncomfortable but hopefully will get better in time. My plaque is on the dorsal side of my penis - it's located very close to the glands which extends my penis upwards upon erection.

If the Andropeyronie device wraps right around this location as it stretches the shaft of the penis, is this the correct way of using traction therapy? It doesn't seem like there is any other way to adjust the device to push the penis in a downwards curve.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks guys!

I have the same device and tried a few months during the acute phase. My plaque is lateral but also right under the glands. I was told by my uro that traction would likely only help men who have a Plaque a bit further down the shaft. I believe the inflammation it caused me brought on the narrowing.. it could have been the natural progression though.

Xavier, you think it caused further inflammation making it worse? How have other treatments been going for you? Also, do you think you gave the traction enough time to really work?

I'm not sure whether I gave traction enough shot but I kept it on basically the lowest stretch In short increments to start as suggested  ..the pain after taking it off between sessions  was unbearable. I think my acute pain may have been high in comparison to others.. I was in flaccid and erect pain from may to sept straight and the andropeyronie magnified it tenfold. The changes have stopped now but I still get a little sore a day or two after sex. My belief is that traction has MODERATE improvements for some but it's a risk and could just as easily make things worse.. As far as oral meds and diet there isn't any scientific evidence that anything slows down progression or decreases curve.. most uros will prescribe pentoxofylinne w/ cialis and say it's a crapshoot or a total BS drug but take it if you want . Most of the studies on its success are bias unfortunately. I have adjusted my story but i actually have closer to a 10-15 degree lateral curve based on my Doppler a few weeks ago. . I've chosen to live with it.. a little viagra before sex helps the stiffness in the narrowed part. Nobody wants to operate or inject me because I'm fully functional. My wife isn't a size queen so she doesn't even notice the difference. I'd say give all things a shot to cover your bases but take it easy with traction.

I highly recommend you switch to a vacuum based traction device such as the penimaster pro, those are way more comfortable. Yes traction works, the earlier the better.

Don't be scared about it. Any rod extender device can be used for a dorsal curve. Just stick a rod or velcro strap for better efficacy: https://videopress.com/v/uPMB2OkI?at=227

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I guess I am still a little confused regarding the fact that my plaque is located directly near the glands, which is where the andropeyroine grasp wraps directly around. Would traction in this case still help or is it causing too much irritation to the plaque?

Also, the velcro strap looks helpful, but again, I am not sure if I would be able to use it considering the location of the plaque.

Thank you guys for the advice and if you have any ideas/input please let me know! Thanks!

This has been my issue  from the start with my plaque  right under the glands. Basically the part that holds your dick in these devices just irritates the hell out of the plaque. But the one benefit of this plaque location is there really isn't a lot of real estate for a huge bend. The narrowing is really all that bugs me

Xavier, is it possible that the plaque could get larger or extend downwards (back towards the body), creating a larger bend? Also, thank you for understanding that yes, the plaque is directly by the glands, so the holster is sitting right on top of it.

I am sorry to hear that it was causing you pain however, it seems like you are in a good situation now aside from the minor narrowing if I am not mistaken

I'm not sure if It work it's way down.. I think usually it is where it is.. but some guys have more than one plaque.. in my case the head just kept slowly tilting left for a few months and then some narrowing kicked in.. it's almost like I have a little ring about 1/2 inch below the head and from there up I've lost some girth. One of these days I'll post my pics from onset to today as my story is pretty much over with this thing. Hard to not to still seek  improvement though.
