Hi guys
I'm having a difficult time right now.
It's been almost 14 months since my onset of Peyronie's, and I'm most definitely still in acute phase. It's getting to my head, honestly. Just like it did when it first hit me...
I still suffer from radiating pain in my penis coming from out of nowhere, as well as light discomfort when I sit down for a while, etc. My penis is very often warm and inflamed to the touch as well.
I'm gonna have to start attacking this bullish*t from all angles, even more than what I have, but I'll need some encouragement and tips from all of you guys; because I'm not sure what road to go down.
I'm currently only on Cialis, and it's clearly not doing enough. Also, the bad headspace puts me in a spot where I'd rather skip out on working so my economy is down the crapper right now, which ultimately leads to me not being able to attack the condition from all angles.
I'm gonna have to change that, don't I? As much as this sucks, being sad and a b*tch won't get you anywhere.
Heat therapy and Cialis together didn't do sh*t, unfortunately. What Cialis does for me and many others is that it aids my erections, but as for stopping or aiding my Peyronie's... not so much.
Pentox (tried it by itself only) didn't seem to do anything, but I will return to it and combine it with a series of other treatments; perhaps then it will do something?
I'm pretty concerned that I might have some type of "never-ending-peyronies" that some of the members have described. Being young and thinking i might have pain and inflammation forever in the only organ I give a crap about, is incredibly depressing.
However, I'm the last person that is negative or pessimistic.
It feels like any sufferers, like myself, will have to try and combine MANY different treatments in order to see some positive changes.
—————
Describing my current situation would be the following:
- 30 degree upwards curve that has been pretty much the same since onset. This bend is caused by a plaque sitting below the glans.
- 2 hard nodules right below the glans, causing discomfort and is perhaps contributing to my loss of girth.
- Beginning of scar tissue along the whole shaft on all sides, like speed bumps, (pretty soft luckily) causing clear size loss, girth.
My whole dick is just a inflammatory mess, it feels like.
This is pretty much my case of Peyronie's as of November 2020.
I'm not really sure where to go now? What should I do? I need some advise... what would you recommend for my case, specifically?
——————
What do you guys think about this regime as for 2021?
- Pentox, 3 per day.
- Cialis, 2.5 nightly.
-  Heat therapy
- No sugar diet.
- DMSO + X (would apply once per day)
- A few different types of healthy supplements that aids in lowering oxidative stress & inflammation.
——————
The plan here would be the that the Pentox, Cialis, supplements, no sugar & heat (maybe DMSO too) would hopefully end the active phase.
The reason for the usage of DMSO would be to soften the plaque and nodules, and perhaps that would make it easier for me to start some kind of psychical therapy (traction and/VED).
That DMSO helps softening and healing scar tissue is scientifically proven, although I'm fully aware that it hasn't had any studies made on its effect on Peyronie's.
If I've then made it that far lol (being non-existent inflammation and softer scar-tissue) I would begin a fully committed regime with psychical therapy.
Does this sound like a good plan, folks?
I also wonder if absence of masturbating would help in the inflammatory aspect?
I really hope some of you made it this far in my text, and perhaps you can chime in and comment on my potential regimes, questions & tactics for the continued battle of this disease.
Thank you.

Hi, I'm also still young. Definitely keep eating healthy. Exercising a lot helps with blood flow. If you have hard flaccid look up some pelvic floor exercises on Google to relax the pelvic floor. Those are helping me very much, also with blood flow.

I am now trying traction again with the Andropeyronie device. It's difficult to put it on in the beginning, but with time it will get easier. I think that traction is my biggest chance to heal at the moment, so you can try it too. Only be very careful with it, you dont want to injure yourself again.

Hi, ya its frustrating I know.

I have the same curve but was a bit worse, but I do have the heat, pain and other stuff you do.
The best two things I did, were using Restorex, and Xiaflex.  Ask a doctor if its time for xiaflex or not.  depending on  your stage.  xiaflex is for chronic state I think, after acute?
In any event those things helped a lot.  I also used a vacuum pump called somatherapy ED from time to time.  Please note, when using xiaflex, you probably need to refrain from most of these things except restorex traction and wait a day or two before using it and take it easy to medium at first then more later in the same week.  I used it almost every day now.

- Taking those vitamins\meds can help change the chemistry in there to help prevent more plaque and possibly reduce it and some meds make your penis harder, giving you more wood while you sleep which is good.  I got peryronies when i took a long time away from touching myself and while I was taking medication that affected my wood for a long time.  I got off that crap now thankfully.  wood during the night and mornings I think is there to keep your penis properly stretched so things do start seizing up or shrink.  my opinion. I suggest not to go too crazy with meds\vitamins, but do take ones that have a lot of proven testing.  also, dont start gulping tons of them down, which could make things worse, just take a normal dose.  These can help but in my opinion, the best results I got is from restorex and xiaflex with occasional DMSO+mix things.  you can search DMSO threads, use it wisely, a little goes a long way.  I use dmso to soften things up during restorex, but dont use dmso when getting xiaflex.  wait 4 weeks after each xiaflex before you start dmso and I dont use it often as it makes me a little sick and constipated.

- Its important you figure out whats going on inside you.  You have to figure if you have the wrong chemistry going on due to foods, drinks you are putting into your body.
this is important, go get a complete physical to check out your body inside...etc.  something is could be causing your penis to be hot to the touch...etc.  hopefully a doctor can do this.  make it clear you are suffering in many ways, play it up to as some doctors wont do tests lightly.

- get a ultrasound from a doctor and get his opinion on what he sees inside.  in vancouver canada I know a good doctor but perhaps you are not close here.

- then ask the doctor and see if he can diagnose why your skin is hot and inflamed.  like perhaps one of the following:
Balanitis is inflammation of the glans penis.
Posthitis is inflammation of the foreskin.
Balanoposthitis is inflammation of both the glans penis and the foreskin.
Perhaps he can narrow things down for you to try.

- test yourself for food allergies. you would be surprised what can affect you.

- change your diet to eliminate anything that causes inflammation and eat things that reduce inflammation.  Lots of good sites out there for this.

- make sure your digestion system is working good from stomach, intestines, to bowels.  If not, you may not be getting the proper vitamins\minerals from your food that you need.

- Get a Restorex traction device, worth every penny.  Make sure to actually watch videos they give and to watch other videos about how to use it best to your advantage.  I buy doublesided medical tape.  This kind of tape sticks to itself but not so much to skin.  It is only lightly adhesive kind.  I wrap some of that around my head and then clamp on the restorex.
Also, put a small piece of toilet paper or paper towel under your penis, when it is in the restorex, so you can bend the contraption without pulling on the skin which sometimes happens.  Also, lightly warm that restorex, so its not too cold on your skin areas when first put it on.  YOu may want to wait until imflamation is down before traction or not, ask around. The restorex helped me a lot.

- Get xiaflex when the time is right.  find a job that has manulife or similar.  well in canada, manulife paid for a lot of the xiaflex meds.  please note some expenses like these can be submitted in your income tax forms depending on where you live.

- stay healthy and positive and sleep well, as you need energy to think and a job to buy stuff.  Just do things step by step and dont expect a miracle cure, but I did get almost an inch back and reduced my curve significantly over a years time.

- please note, I know you are freaked out right now, but things can get better n better if you stay focused and do things step by step and get proper sleep to be able to think. Exercise a bit, walk a bit. joke a bit about this, although its scary sometimes, you just got to try and relax.  I think you are going to be ok, just make sure to check everything above I mentioned as for your body and food tests...etc.
Cheers, my good man.

Great suggestions!

I would add:

Address the pain.  Do you take a NSAID each day for the pain?  If yes, maybe try another type to see if it helps more.  Secondly, try generic voltaren gel applied to the penis 3x/day, or before or after sex.  Experiment and see what works for you.  Some find pentox decreases the pain.

Add traction as soon as you can.  You might to decrease the pain first.  Start w a light stretch for a short period of time.  Sone find that this too may decrease pain.  If any pain back-off and go lighter/slower.

DMSO is very interesting.  If you want to use it-research it well in this forum as some easy mistakes to make can cause burns (if not diluted properly) or even infuse contaminants into the penis (if plastic is used), etc.

Good luck and please keep us posted!

Thank you all for great answers.
After just a few days of DMSO treatment (homemade) I've noticed a major decrease in inflammation and heat in the penis. It's too early to say if pain is disappearing but DMSO is something I definitely underestimated.

What do you mean by heat in the penis? Wouldn't this be a bad thing? I think you just mean that inflammatory feeling, but just checkin.

Godisreal

Yes, NeoV. My penis feels inflamed is what I meant. Heat = Inflammation.
And yes, it is indeed a bad thing.

Comparing pictures from a year and a half ago with current and seeing I've lost half of my girth in flaccid state is just devastating, wow...
When will it end?
I genuinely thought taking my supplements and drugs was gonna help me put a stop to this nightmare, but here I f*cking am.

hey godisreal

you should really look into starting traction. it seems like the most effective non invasive therapy from members from this forum and literature.

i have started with pmp and am already seeing some very slight improvements in curvature (with 6-8h a day) and large gains in girth compared to pre peyronies times. i am slowly gaining my length back again and erections are really strong and healthy

keep strong!
30, ~20-30 degrees right bend beginning of 02/2021. Small plaque under gland on right side of the shaft
04/21 Plaque right side under glans
07/21 plaque by base
10 deg curvature at base + narrowing
1.8 g Citrulline 2-3 g ALCAR, 6-8h daily with PM

AlterEgo

pmp do you mean a pump?

My uro prescribed Meloxicam 7.5mg daily for inflammation and it has eliminated the pain in less than a week. I recommend you get the inflammation under control first as this will allow the tissues to begin the healing process. Meloxicam (Mobic) is a strong NSAID. It is at least working for me.
Age 46, married, symptoms began October 2020, progressive pain since (both flaccid and erect). Diagnosed by Dr. Levine in March 2021 with thrombosed circumflex vein, no Peyronies Disease. Meloxicam 3 wks and still recovering.
