Mcrmale

Hi all,
I've purchased a basic, but does the job, VED after reading various articles online etc and it is reassuring the advice here is that it can help with my Peyronies. I have an upward curve that came on over a few weeks, no pain, but loss of girth and length has resulted.

However, I was a bit concerned that the Patient Leaflet in the box with the VED said:

"Use of a vacuum pump may aggravate already existing conditions such as Peyronie's disease, priapism and urethral strictures"

I can't find any evidence that would support this statement, are they just covering themselves?

In my opinion over pumping can make it worse - always play it safe

I cannot change the past, but I can change the future, and in doing so, change the ultimate meaning of the past.

Just be sure to follow the single cylinder protocol and never overpump.

I am using a VED for a hourglassing and a ~20 degree dorsal curve.  I am in the same boat as Mcrmale - not sure if a certain level of pumping may worsen things.  How do we define "over pumping"?

It seems obvious that something outright painful, aiming for well over 100% normal erection, or causing bruising or hematoma would be overpumping.  But is getting to a solid 100% erection with a bit of a feeling of tension/stretching considered "overpumping"?

Well, the theoretical cause of Peyronie's is an injury to the tissue in the penis.  If pumping causes additional injury, in theory it could worsen or aggravate Peyronie's.  Just stating the theory, not saying its true or not.
