Peyronie's progression after the implant

Hi guys. I'm considering an implant. Unfortunately, i have got a really weird type of Peyronies Disease.. I call it "the neverending peyronie's" cause i am in active phase since more than 6 years, and things getting worse year after year. I doubt it will ever stop, i think it's chronically inflamed and slowly getting worse.

Furthermore, i have a "diffuse fibrosis" in the dorsal part of the tunica albuginea: i don't have a "well localized plaque".

I Wanted to know if, by using grafting + implant, the disease will stop or i have to expect a progression.. I'm really scared that it may damage the implant, the nerves or give me hard pain forever.

Did anyone have progression even after the implant? (like plaques growing, further curve, or things like this)

Thanks!

Please hope... Read up on the diaries here on the board about implants. Having one stops the progression of the disease. Or, if you have it.... It won't matter any more.

there is no 6 year long active phasebans never ending peyronies is unscientific to the bone

Godisreal

hope, how has the DMSO-treatment went? Any pros other than the pain-relief?
I'd assume you have some problem with your arteries/veins in your penis, since you describe the "never-ending-active-phase".
Another forum-member also described the same problems as you (erectile disfunction, never ending  active phase), and he seems to have f*cked up his veins somehow.
I've had the condition for 13 months, and I'm still in active phase & to me it looks like it won't stop.
But we'll see.
30 degree dorsal curve, immobility and heavy loss of girth.
My body seems to get very inflamed when I masturbate too often or eat unhealthy.
Using antioxidants, Pentox and hirudoid cream, as well as manual traction, heat and Cialis.

My active phase was about 6 months, but the surgeon asked me to wait a year to be safe. No more problems after the implant.

Perhaps people with multiple injuries they r not aware of prolongs the disease which makes it degenerative. I had a second injury where i woke up in the middle of the night and my penis was hurting, bent, and shrunken at the glans, swollen at the base. 15months later my penis has experienced all forms of symptoms and nothing prepares u for loss of size.

No issue with peyronies after implant. About the only medicine I took I thought helped my peyronies was pentox. It did seem to help soften my plaque, but to be honest might have been wishful thinking on my part. No urologist I saw even recommended the injections to help. They thought it might cause more damage.

Implant straightened me out. Plaque the size of my thumbnail on the top of my shaft I cannot find anymore. A half inch hourglass mid shaft is gone. My penis literally looked like a sand glass. Within an 1/8th of inch of my pre ed size at 18 months. I cycle a lot though for at least an hour each day. Sex or otherwise.

Nope an implant is not for everyone. It has to be right for you given where you are with ed. For me it was almost a miracle but I had 0 options left.

If you are content where you are with your ed and treatment, great.

If you are done dealing with ed issues, an implant is a fantastic option. You do have to deal with inflating cylinders and a pump in your sac. If you are against that for whatever reason, probably not for you.

I do feel like if you do not have an implant it is tough to either promote or detract from them. It's kind of like someone who hates chevys or fords but never owned one or drove one. How would you know. Just bought my first RAM 2500 diesel. Love it but before I drove it around the lot, had never been in one. The old saying never say never. Sean Connery after he quit playing Bond said never again. "Never Say Never"  he did a couple years later was one of the most popular Bond movies ever.

I drive my implant a lot, and love it.

Hi Hope,

I wouldn't say I am really "enthusiastic" about the implant, but then again, I am just clear for cycling and haven't had sex with it yet. I would prefer to have my natural, functional penis, but of course, I'd rather be a billionaire too. If wishes and buts...right?  In any event, I am already 100 percent improved psychologically and motivationally, I am able to see a woman and consider dating or having a relationship instead of looking the other way, I can change clothes in a gym locker room without hiding or watching for a quick chance that no one is around.

Arbitrators and negotiators talk of the last, best alternative to a negotiated settlement as a key point to make decisions. I saw my implant as this - my last, best alternative to not getting stuck with the scourge of Peyronie's. It has been a damn good alternative so far, I am thankful it was available.

To me, there's no problem with having a robot dick ;)
I feel like you guys have gotten your sex-life back, and I know it can be difficult to take the decision with removing your cavernosas for the rest of your life and replace them with a pump, especially when you're young; but it's only when you pinpoint everything about it that people make it weird.
There's barely any difference? I feel happy for you guys.
Although, how much success did you gain with the implant regarding length & girth gain, if I may ask?
Did you get back to your previous "full potential"?
Thanks guys, I'd really appreciate an answer.

I don't think they removed anything when I received my implant. Not sure what you are referring to. Although I was able to get an unsustainable erection before my surgery, I can still get a unsustainable semi-erection now. The head of my penis used to get big, it still gets big.
As far as length, I recovered about 1/2 inch from being taken away during the Nesbit surgery.
Girth, this is a huge success for me. I gained nearly an inch in girth at the base and a full 1/2 inch along the entire length of my cock.
It took about a full year to get the 1/2 inch length and the inch in girth. I love that super tight feeling when I am inflated to max.
I may not have recovered all the loss from the Nesbit surgery, but my spouse loves the girth!

Nothing is removed, the doctor simply uses a dilater to create a pocket for the cyclinders.  The only thing that robbed me of any length was my scar tissue.  When dr Yafi removed most of it I got it back.  Now with my implant, both my wife and I agree I am pretty much the same size as before all this started

I see. So what makes it "irreversible"? I mean, everybody says you can't ever go back when you get an implant... is that correct?
Or could you remove the implants and just have a "normal" dick? I understand you wouldn't do this, but, hypothetically, you could do that?

An expert should answer this, but it does do some damage to the tissues that swell, so that is why you can't go back. I didn't have good erections before, so the implant and what little bit I had sort of work together.
You should go to the Titan website for more thorough explanations. They answer a lot of questions.

Yeah I'm not an expert but I am an implantee that's done a ton of research before making my decisions.  Reason you can't go back is once the cylinders are placed, that tissue will not return to normal if they are removed.  Think of a pacemaker.  I doubt you could remove it and return to a normal heartbeat.

You are fixing a situation that can't be fixed otherwise.  If my implant was removed, I would be completely impotent and unable to have sex.  Prior to my implant I could have a somewhat useable erection, but needed a lot of help with medication and a cock ring.  Even that wasn't satisfactory, which is why I got my implant

My uro tells me that there is no feeling of an erection, that boner feeling is gone and the only arousal u have is mental. Is this a factor? How do u equate this? Like interms of pleasure, is this a big loss of sensation? Personally my erection with peyronies is still mostly strong cuz of the cialis, but it is also always uncomfortable to the point that it makes it unenjoyable.

R there some men that may loose this feeling of erection? I have also read this loss of boner feeling in another ED forum.

Roddy

When I get sexually aroused, my head engorges with blood and I have the exact same feeling wash over me that I previously got preimplant. If I didn't know better, I'd swear to you my penis was hard from the feelings I experience in my dick. However, all of this feeling is coming from my glans. If I want to do something with it I then need to pump up for penetration. And then it's rock hard. I feel everything. I have no loss of feeling anywhere.

When you get an implant they remove almost all the tissue on the inside besides the outer layer.

Michiganhuy,

Are you here to learn about implants or here to try to teach those who have implants about implants?  They remove NOTHING from a penis during implant surgery. They insert two cylinders with or without a rear tip extender.  The sponge or web-like cavernosa tissue is pushed aside to make room for the cylinders which will now confine the fluid that makes the penis firm.  All of the other tissue layers, nerves, and vessels are left intact.
