hello everyone 25m here acute phase (symptoms first appeared in september 2020 so 2 months ago roughly) im pretty new to this condition. No bending YET but am expecting it soon. I am in pain daily and it really sucks :( I am currently on all the oral regimens: Pentox 400mg tid, cialis 2.5mg daily, ALCAR 1g bid and COq10 300mg qd. I am trying to get ahead of this disease as much as i physically can I am even starting the keto diet come next week. My question is since i am in pain almost constantly would it still be okay to do VED or should I wait it out for now I just don't want it to get worse. Any advice is appreciated

Thanks!

I don't know what you expect to gain on a keto diet. You'll probably lose weight, but it's not doing anything for your Peyroines.

For pain try ibuprofen and topical generic voltaren gel.

Camtheman,

Well, you can try that keto diet, sure, but I wouldn't expect much out of it. If you want to lose a few pounds then keto would probably be fine. I wouldn't expect any impact on Peyroines. Most people I've heard have a hard time staying on it, and not feeling hungry all the time. I quoted a Wikipedia article on it here once, citing a British magazine, that said it was one of the worst celebrity fad diets out there.

Actually, keto suppresses hunger and this has been clearly shown in research. This is one reason it's so successful at treating insulin resistance.

Keto is great for some people with certain conditions. But for the average person it is probably no better than a diet that includes some carbs.

I'd leave it alone. Especially if you don't have any curve, hourglassing or indent. I'd also go see a second uro who specializes in Peyronie's. For me the more I tugged and stretched the more it hurt and the worse it got. If I could go back in time I'd just leave the thing be till stable phase.

^Ditto... I stupidly listened to the cries to begin VED in the acute phase and paid for it with permanent damage. if I could go back in time I wouldn't have done a damn thing except for supplements and cialis.

Was hourglass only for 2 years, but now slight bend to the right.
ED seems getting worse. Intermittent Cialis helps

Studies show benefit from VED or traction during the acute phase if done per the protocols.  Back off if any discomfort.
