I've been extremely depressed because of this.

Getting erections has been hurting, and I have two small curves near the base. I felt around but haven't felt any hard spots yet.
Based off of how most people seem to speak on here, it sounds like it's just going to get worse and worse as time goes on.

I'm single, lonely and have wanted to date again (all of my friends are starting to get married or have kids, and I want to as well), but I've been feeling hopeless now.
I read some ED forums where women have chimed in, and most I read said they absolutely wouldn't date a guy with ED. I couldn't imagine the reaction to both that and Peyronie's.

If anyone's had luck with dating, their curve getting better, or just any general positive things to say in relation to this, I would like to hear it. Things have just been so miserable recently, and it's seriously been affecting me. (And yes, I am already seeing a therapist)

I'm in the same situation...
single, never been in a relationship.
This has been the hardest thing in my life
antidepressants helped my depression a little, now I can study. So consider talking to a physician, not just a therapist, about your mental health.

How do you take antidepressants with their erectile dysfunction side effects? Do you not get that side effect?
Age:23. Onset of symptoms: september 2020.
Curve mostly semi erect about 60 degrees, slight pain
Tried short & prolonged fasts, keto, carnivore, traction and most of the supplements.
Severe digestive issues, probably an autoimmune disorder

It depends on the anti-depressant and the individual and how long you take it.

Welbutrin has fewer such side-effects.

i'm not sure if it affects my erections. I searched on internet and it's supposed to be pretty safe in that sense.
I talked to my doctor about my concerns and this is what she prescribed me so i supposed it's the best option to mantain erectile function

Speaking personally, I think the women who posted that on the other forums were shallow. There is more than one way to please a woman.

I agree with Stabler as I now have a girlfriend that accept me even if I become fully impotent she just hates how it affects my confidence. I also know that the times I am able to have succesfull intercourse and bang her good for once she really likes it and its an intimate moment. I can please her in many ways, but the PIV sex is more "my moment" as a male and that is what hurts the most I realize now. Not the comments of others, not the opinion of someone else, not dissapointing my girl, but my own pleasure being diminished and in turn I have a difficult time showing her my affection and I think for most couple THAT is what destroys the relationsship. Luckily my girl understand how much I want her and how high my libido is even when my dick doesnt work and what seems to help is focusing more on teasing, foreplay and more romantic things. That said, of course not being able to fck your girl good once a while dents your confidence as a male and I think that shouldn't be underestimated. But what can you do? Some hopefull news is the new developments in tissue engineering and in the meantime I would just take every pill and try alternative treatments even if its just to give yourself some hope on improvement. For me what helps me keep my chin up is knowing my girl accepts the love I give her beyond my dick and also the fact that I'm soon going for a PRP shot, I keep my body in shape and just doing whatever I can to rebuild myself as a man.
Age 26
Did jelqing, pumping & clamping from abt age 15 until 17. Never had any real issues, until it was too late.
I got a change of shape, sensation, and a loss of volume.
it continues progressing

thank you for your answers, they give me some much, much needed hope.
Indeed i can relate to what u said fubar. I don't care what other might think about me, and i believe i might find someone who i can please even without penis function. But indeed the loss of pleasure, confidence and satisfaction of proper penetration (and masturbation) is what hurts me the most.
But ye what can you do about it, if not find other ways to fill the void.
I think if i ever get fully incapable i will start using toys/strapon and hopefully still have my confidence from having the ability to please my partner, even if i don't feel the sensations myself. Hopefully it will still feel good nonetheless and turn me on.
We have to work with what we have

16 years on this forum and over 15 years of having my own dick problems before I found a fix have taught me that: over 90% of the relationships destroyed over Peyronied and/or Erectile Dysfunction are destroyed by the man.  Fubar's post is the biggest puzzle every man has to figure out.  There is the answer!  Read that post 100 times.  Tape it to your refrigerator. Form a Peyronies anonymous club and stand up and recite it at every meeting.

The sad thing is that the answer is so clear, but many men cannot hear it even when you shout it at them. Sometimes they even get angry at you for telling them because they still don't get it.  It is about fixing our head as much or more than it is about fixing our dicks.

I have said many times that the dramatic change my implant made to my dick is usually obvious 4 or 5 hours a week.  The changes it made to my mind were obvious every waking hour.  Actually, some sleeping hours as well.  Fortunately, I got Fubar's message long before I got my implant, so I was able to keep my marriage alive and growing.  I fought the lack of confidence because I know a confident man with a broke dick is more appealing to a woman than a functioning dick with no confidence.  If you can't make it, then fake it until you can make it.

i definetely agree. I think most relationships can be saved with a healthy mindset.
at the same time if someone told me this 6 months ago i would have probably gotten angry indeed. I think it's a journey we have to go trough, to accept this chronic disease.
It takes time to elaborate the feelings
I am far from done but i see progress

Great news.

There are many resources to help with general attitude, confidence, and a general feeling of well-being.  A huge problem is not just that we fixate on our dicks, thus our problems but that we do it to the exclusion of everything necessary for a healthy mind.

Check out some of the resources at the top of this board in the "Sticky Topics." section.
