Could an implant help me stabilize and have reliable erections again?

Hello, I have been dealing with peyronies like symptoms for a while now. It started developing around the age of 16/17 and slowly got progressively worse over time. My symptoms are likely triggered by doing jelqing as a teenager. I quit soon after developing issues, but the onset of peyronies continued on in the months and years after. I have had pain, change of shape, change of sensation, more difficulty getting erect, thoughening of the tissue and string like structures under the skin. And these have developed slowly and gradually over time. It has been a slow decline. I have had more pain and faster progression in the past and compared.to then I have less pain and am somewhat more stable, buy it never completely stabilized and I still have pain often and it is like I am never completely out of "active" phase. I am in Holland and been to many doctors here, but they all say something different and none of them really see a solution and rather not do anything at all. What I know is that all the doctors I spoke to can feel the scar tissue by hand but somehow the ultrasound doesn't show much and according to the doctor it is minimal scarring and wouldn't get worse (this was years ago and it's been progressing ever since). The last doctor I spoke to also felt scar tissue by hand, not see it on scan, but he did see venous leak on scan and diagnosed pelvic floor tension. I tried pelvic floor theraphy but this combined with all the supplements, cialis, pentox, staying in shape and eating healthy still didn't stabilize me and I feel I need to do something to remain what I have and get reliable erections again. So do you people think an implant could be a good solution for me at this point in time? I know I can still get natural erections, but it is difficult for me to get as erect as I am.in the picture and never maintain that during intercourse or even mssturbation anymore. It also feels as if parts of my penis (esprcisly round the glans which is supposed to be most sensitive) do not fill whicj changr the sensation during penetration making it harder to stay erect as well. What I hope is that an implant while make it feel.more whole, give me reliable erection quality and prevent the shape from worsening. I know this is a long read, but I hope some of y'all will provide me some info. By the way I am fully aware I still have a decent size and shape and am no longer insecure about that which is why I feel an implant can still help me. However, the worsening bothers me and I am afraid if I do not explore my options now I will regret it whenever I end up getting worse.

I hope I am allowed to post these here, but as you can see it is mainly the formation around the glans that is the problem and seems to take up more parts of my penis over time. As you can imagine it changed the sensation mostly in the glans a lot and it feels.as though it is "clogged" if that makes any sense.

I don't see anything wrong with the size and shape either anymore. I was insecure before and it's because I did lose some size and the shape was better before. I obviously never wanted to lose anything at all. But at this point I would kill to keep it the way it is now. Recover my ability to consistently get and keep an erection trough an implant and I quite frankly ready to move on with life and stop hoping for any magical cures in the future. I just hope that will be a viable option, cause the way it's been for the last years and likely for the next to come I will slowly but surely lose more.

Trust me, I have taken soo many cialis, pentox, L-citrulline it is ridiculous. It helps, but pleaae understand the progression NEVER stopped. You can now see the formarion round the glans. This has been getting worse ans will continue to ger worse if all I do is take pills. I am honestly not even gonna hope for stabilizing spontaneously anymore and know it will likely just progress as it has for the last years. I wonder if I firsr need to lose half my penis before I am "bad enough" for an implant. If an implant stops progression and makes me keep my size at all then it is a great option for me and idk why the heck I am still waiting. Is there really no way? I thought you people always said implant is always an option?

Do you have a dedicated andrologist to see?  If so I don't see why they would not recommend an implant if all other options have failed.  That was my case.  I did not want to sit around and wait for things to get worse.  That being said, I'd definitely want to keep that beast as big as you can

Hello MrChicken, i'm in your same situation. If i would post my pics here, everyone would say "I GOT NOTHING" but the main issue is not the situation i got NOW, the main issue is that i have this crap since 6 years and not only it's not spontenously stopping, it's even getting worse over the years! Last 2 years have been terrible, i've lost something like 2 cm, not joking. Plus what i lost before.

So yes, i'm considering an implant too.

MCchicken, have you taken objective measurements including when erect-largest and smallest girth so you can monitor closely?   Plaque can result in narrowing so you can start treatment-but be sure to have accurate measurements to monitor progress or changes closely.

If PE 5 have stopped working then I see an implant as the next logical step for you.
If nothing else will work's, Have you tried injections or Muse?

Maybe even do VED and traction to try and keep the size or even regain some before the surgery.
It's a good idea to maximum you size before the surgery,

The ED might be mental issues bought on by the Peyronies you been suffering.
Causing a mental block with erections, so a Nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) test might be a good idea.

The only reason I recommend this, is because a implant is a last resort and no coming back from one.
As you may have mental issues dealing with a implant after you have the operation.
In the UK a visit with psychiatrist is offered to men who are about to have an implant surgery.

But once you ruled out every option, all that's left is a implant for penetrative sex.
Unless you want to use a VED and cock ring for sex.

There are many great arguments for an implant. No more pills, and the stopped up nose, or headache that goes with them for some of us. No more worrying about what the drugs do to your body. Is it going to work, for how long, if I do get hard enough to get in, will it stay that way. I actually bent my dick continuing to have sex with a softening penis.

No more sticking a needle into my most favorite body part. For the record I never even considered that one. I had peyronies already, so no way I was going to traumatize my dick more. No more using a vacuum pump and rings. That did not work for me anyway.

The happiest I had been since the development of my ed issue was when I woke up after my implant and saw a straight hard penis. No more 35 degree peyronies curve. No more hourglass shape. No more hard plaque deposits in my shaft.

Just hard straight penis.

The only mental issue I had about my implant was that I did not get it the month after my ed started. I should have just skipped everything and went straight to it.

The only issue really is finding a doctor to do it. That is the hardest part of the whole process.

Mental issue's do play a large part in this for a lot of men. Because you were fine doesn't mean other men will be.
My point is to make sure your in a good mental heath space when you make the decision to have an un reversible procedure done.

I've seen a lot of posts from men saying it's the best thing they had done and wished they had done it earlier in their life.

I had an implant after a failed plication and stage surgery, at the age of 40 I had a implant surgery as I had ED issues.
It doesn't matter that now I can have sex, I still feel less of a man because I can't have natural erections.

Every time you pump it up, you reminded your not normal.

This can be a lot for men to get there heads around and it's better to try and address it before surgery.
So you know you made the right choice for you and no regrets afterwards about your surgery.

I had these thought for a long time after surgery and its only in the last year I started to try dating again.
I'm 44 now and wasted lots of time not dating, obsessing about my penis.

I think this will be a big issue for a lot of guys, maybe more so for guys under 40.

I'm also not saying every man will have these thoughts or issues, but lets not pretend an implant is a wonder cure as its not.

Can we be very clear here that NO ONE to my knowledge has ever recommended someone with a perfectly healthy penis to have an implant put in. To suggest that has been the advice of guys on here is not true and simply not fair. Who in their right mind would deprive themselves of healthy tissue to be replaced by an implant? No one that I'm aware of.

In my case, and from what I have read of others, an implant really is a last case resort - it's what we turn to when either, in my case, the penis is SO bent that sex is impossible, or when a guy has Erectile Dysfunction so bad that he cannot sustain an erection long enough to have sex.

When you read a journal like mine (if you ever have) you'll hear about all the ups and downs, the psychological as well as physical stress and pain. It's not plain sailing. However, when all is said and done, it DOES give you the ability to have as close to normal a sexual experience as you'll ever enjoy again in your life. Sure there are objects in your ball sack, sure there are alien objects inside your dick, but it's very difficult to see any negatives when you are out the other side and enjoying a full on sex life again.

I do sympathise with anyone who is not in a long term relationship, who is dating and worrying about what a partner might say whenever they realise your dick is bionic. I've not had to deal with that stress and can imagine it would be difficult.

So please be reassured jan.schaller1958, it's not that guys like myself are on here shouting about how great our implants are. Far from it. I hoped that my journal would offer hope and light in the dark to any man who cannot have sex due to their particular penis issues. That anyone reading it would see that there are obstacles to overcome but, in time, an implant, buttons and all, can give a fully functioning, as normal as possible hard penis. That there is a way to get your old penis back and in fact, in cases like mine, an even better one.

Exactly man, if I had the penis I had four years ago, I wouldn't even be here.  I knew nothing about all the stuff we talk about here, because it wasn't anything I thought about.  Today, yes I have an implant, but I tried Xiaflex, pills, grafting, injections prior.  Had any of those worked I would probably not have an implant.  They did not.  I am not hyping up an implant, but when you've walked in my shoes or a lot of others here with journals, you cannot slam us for enjoying a solution

I could never understand how guys here talk about how great implants are.

Cause they are. The satisfaction among people that have an inflatable one is great. You can check this forum, or talk to a surgeon. It's more than 90%. Something like 95%. If you think I'm lying, go talk to a surgeon.

Would be better having the penis you had before Peyronie? Of course, nobody is arguing against that.

I just can't imagine your life being sad cause you have an implant. You can have sex, child, satisfaction, please your woman (or man)... And a F^@$!ng hard erection.

Don't mind them. There are narcissists here on the forum, unfortunately. Your question is real and important.
Yes, one of the objectives of an implant is to give stability. Just search for a surgeon with a high volume of surgeries, and you will be fine.

Damn. I had a lot more mental issues from the day my dick did not work up until I got my implant. Sure I hate having to pump it up to have sex. I have absolutely no reference point of being in my younger years and not having a penis that did not do exactly what I wanted when I wanted it to. I have been sexual since about 14. That was like ages ago.  so yep I am up there. Different times for sure. Heck in our high school, teachers threw the best parties, and not that uncommon to sleep with a 20something one.  If the wind blew hard I was erect. I never really gradually got erect. Pretty much if I thought about sex I was up for it. It was a standing joke with my partner that she did not need to put any effort into it.

Then it was gone. Overnight. That caused me mental problems. Almost lost me my marriage because she thought I did not want her. Never was a problem at all then it just was. All kinds of other accusations to. Getting it somewhere else
You name it, it was brought up. So ed was the source of my anguish.

You are right. It is a last resort for most. I went from someone who could have sex any time I wanted for as long as I wanted. I also had a very short recovery time so my partner was used to multiple rounds. Like I said, then nothing, and it happened overnight. So that messed me up bad.

I was ecstatic after my implant. I was happy to have a hard erection back that I could use. One of our first uses was a day and well into the night in the pool and hot tub. We were at it off and on for a solid 12 hours. We were celebrating. While we have not done that again, it is not uncommon for us to be at it an hour or longer.

I apologize for how my earlier statement was taken. I did not mean that mental issues are not foreseeable with either ed or an implant. I just had mine from the ed. I forgot to think about others perspective. Ed in any form is mentally exhausting. Peyronies is something that just seems like an old fashioned curse on just men.

I would, however, never get an implant if you can get an erection stiff enough for sex that satisfies both you and your partner. Sometimes mine would last long enough for me to finish, but not her. Also only 1 position. What we started in, we finished in, no switching. Once out, erection was gone.  If your peyronies curve does not cause you issues, definitely do not get one. My dick turned curved over time and pointed straight at my belly button. Not usable. If pills work for you. Fantastic. They just caused me more trauma since I was using them with an undiagnosed venous leak and broke it.

When my titan died, all that anguish came roaring back. Some of longest months of my life till The day I got my lgx implanted. All the anguish and mental stuff went away that day. Also I still get a pretty good semi erection when I am into sex so my wife knows I am interested, just not good enough for sex.

I may be old, but I still like sex, a lot. Just this afternoon, I peeled the yoga pants down off my wife and bent her over the arm of the couch for just a quick one. She got hers later. If this thing breaks, I am getting it fixed, asap as many times as i can until a doc says it is just worn out. Then I will get a new hobby. I wont like it as much but till then I do not worry about how much I use it. If I want it up, I pump it up. Bright side is on my revision I went from 19 cm cylinders to 20. Looking for 21 cm next time. That should get me back to my pre ed size.

I apologize again. Yep you should be very in tune with your mental state before getting an implant. You have to decide this is the route you are going and if it all goes to hell and you get nothing but issues with it, it was still your only real option. It is definitely something that could mess you up.

If you look at my history you'll see that my penis looked a lot the same soon after i injured it. I also suffer from worsening Erectile Dysfunction taking 10mg daily Cialis. I care more about keeping my size than i do about "not making it worse" or watching it get smaller and smaller.

So I decided that i would take advantage of the Cialis as long as possible, stop being scared, and do heavy traction and VED. I use RestoreX + Vacuum Traction 6+hrs / day and VED every day.

If you truly believe an implant is in your future, i'd honestly suggest to do the same. You might even gain size, then get a great doctor and cement it with an implant and boom you're good to go. The biggest risk is an infection, even then doctors have you do VED after the infection to get the same size implant after the infection clears out.

Good luck.
