Hi Guys,

I'm new here and wanted to firstly thank everyone for all their invaluable feedback and contribution to this forum.

Looking back, I believe my Peyronies began about 18 months ago.

I have racked my brain trying to work out if there was any specific event or lifestyle change that occurred at that time that may have caused it and I can only think of the following.

A few months before my symptoms would have started, I began to have a large bowl of lentil soup with my dinner.  I did this every single day with zero exception (as it was the only thing that seemed to help me with some Gastro Intestinal issues I was dealing with).

I have only now found out that lentils are a food with huge estrogenic effects on the body.

I have literally been consuming excessive amounts of lentils on a daily basis since (just before) the onset of this terrible disease - I haven't missed a single day.

Am I onto something here, or am I just being stupid and desperate to find some kind of a solution?  Is this disease linked to high levels of estrogen?  Could lowering estrogen possibly reverse it?

its not that estrogen levels in blood that causes this. It is the amount of receptor on the tunica albugenia.

Hontas, so are you saying:

1. If you you (genetically) happen to have more estrogen receptors in your Tunica Albugenia

and

2. You have enough estrogen in your system to bind to those receptors

This is what is more likely to promote the fibrosis that causes Peyronie's?

Most likely one of the biggest causes, yes. However i don't know any specific antagonistic estrogen receptor drug specific to tunica so i am not taking the risk of getting Tamoxifen etc. as they sometimes promote estrogen receptor activity in some specific tissue types. If anyone has a specialty in this area PM me.
