Hello everyone, so I finally got implanted with AMS 700 two days AGO. Just wondering what I should be doing and am a bit worried about touching anything down there when I pee incase I mess anything up.

Is there anything I should be doing while I am healing apart from pulling the pump down, that's all I have been told.

Also, how sturdy is this equipment. I'm afraid to even cough. How careful do I need to be? The last thing I want to do is have to go through all of this again so soon after finally having it done.

Hey Sonny. Glad you pulled through with this. You are in luck. There is plenty of good information out there. All the journals listed answer your questions and more. Check out especially the diaries from the one's in the UK. Roddy comes to mind.

Thanks for the information. I will have a look 👍

One thing I havent found out is whether or not I need to keep my penis in an up position because the only thing I did get told is to pull the pump down. So while I've been out of surgery my penis has just been hanging normally (straight down) I wonder if it should be like, towards my belly button.

Any way, thanks for the information pfract 👍

Usually one is instructed to maintain the position in the up (towards belly) in order to improve the erection angle when healed.  The implant is quite sturdy so no need to worry about compromising it by simple handling of it.

I'm honestly worried because from I've seen a lot of people talking about malfunction of the pump or the tubing etc very soon after having surgery. Then obviously you would have to wait again to have a revision.

I'm not so much worried about just touching it I'm worried about lying down or sitting down, coughing or lifting things.

Weird how something that costs so much money is actually not that sturdy.

I was a little worried too about my new equipment, but it is pretty tough, but from what I have gathered from everyone on this site and my surgeon is that all of this seems to be ambiguous at least.
1. i was told to 'Wear" my penis upwards towards my belly button. It can be a little hard finding the right underwear to best keep everything in place without causing pain, but it will all come together. I personally found Tommy Hilfiger low rise briefs best for me, but all of us are built differently, so who knows what will fit you best.
2. I was told to gently massage the testicle area to keep things loose, but no pulling was recommended. And all of this was done, while I was sitting in our heated bathtub. This seemed to help a lot and when i turned on the bubbles, it felt even better.
3. When someone mentioned about pulling on the pump and i talked to my surgeon, he said NO. He said to gently massage the pump where it is connected into the penis, but do not tug on it. Of course every surgeon is different, as i have heard several people say their surgeons told them to gently tug on the pump.
I hope this helps, always feel free to ask specific questions.

Congratulations SonnyJim.  So glad you made this move.

I agree with all the prior responses and would NOT tug on the pump because there is no need.  People ride dirt bikes and horse (including me) so don't worry about that stuff.

Thanks for the replies guys...

Quick update: today is 2 weeks and 4 days since I had the surgery. I was instructed to start cycling the device after 2 weeks.

Initial thought when fully inflated was noticeably less length and girth, I am now about one inch shorter and girth, I'm not too sure exactly how much but I am visibly less thick. However, I am hoping to regain some of that in the next few weeks/months. Even if I got back half an inch I would be happy.

The only thing I would change is I would of had a Titan but as the procedure was done on the NHS, the surgeon decided on the day. The nurse I spoke to at my follow up appointment said the Titan would of been more rigid but the AMS is more 'concealable'. The only thing I don't like is the pump is massive.  :o

I was able to increase my length and girth during the first year, as I am sure you will too.
By the way, did you find out what model and size they implanted? You should post all your information in your signature.
Keep on pumping
Did you take any pics?
Did you take before measurements?
Most of us reported gains in the first 6 months and some of us, including myself reported gains up to 12 months.
Good luck bud, stay in touch.

It's an AMS 700 LGX 21cm+1cm rte.

I didn't take any pictures, I wish I did but I didn't. It didn't come into my mind, I just basically wanted to stop obsessing over the fact that my dick is broken. Now I can do that so I'm happy in that respect but I'm a bit sad too now that you mentioned photo's.

My measurements before were 6.75 inches long and my girth was 5.25 to be exact. Sometimes I was a little bit under depending on arousal but now, I'd be happy with 6 to be honest. I'm not near that at the moment. I've not measured my exact size since I started cycling but a good estimate would be 5.5-5.75 and less than 5 inch girth.

Thank you.  ;D

Also does anyone know if there is a maximum amount of revisions you can have? If the infection rate goes up every time will there be a point in my life where I just have to settle for nothing?

There is no maximum number of revisions.  If and when you need a revision just go w the most experienced doc w the lowest infection rate.  Meanwhile, enjoy life w your ever ready bionic dick!

I am seeking information about the sliding technique.

He must be doing well because he was here every day stressing over the same questions day after day.  I am glad he is finally content and wish him well but I am thankful for the guys who have found success and care enough to give back.
