Hey all. I used 2.5mg of tadalafil (cialis) daily for like a week or so now, i think i noticed that it was making my penis hang more when taking Tadalafil, which my penis does quite nicely anyway on a normal basis without, just a bit more with the Tadalafil. Obviously when i want an erection it produced a more full erection too than normal.

I stopped the Tadalfil for a few days and it seemed that my penis flaccid state during the day etc was just smaller, not so long and just more hard flaccid in general, i know it was not like this before I even started Tadalafil. But maybe it's in my head too i don't know tbh for certain!

i've actually been prescribed to use the Tadalafil daily by my urologist to combat peyronies disease. I also have the 5mg tadalafil that i plan to take on the days leading up to the weekend when i'm more likely to have sex. Its SO important that i have a full erection when having sex as the risk of re injuring myself is high without a full erection.

....

Anyone here who's taken Tadalafil or Cialis (At what dose) and what have you noticed after stopping using it?

I know that tadalafil (cialis) can relax the smooth muscles, now can your body become reliant on that process through taking Tadalafil?  Like so that it can't relax them smooth muscles as well on its own without the drug?

I've researched this everywhere and it seems you cannot become PHYSICALLY reliant on it, but can become  addicted to it.
There's even some studies stating that it improved erection quality after stopping using it after 6 months of use. but i like to your real life experiences!

Please don't vote unless you've used it and can actually speak on your experience after stopping use or what ever :)

Any thoughts/experience will be very appreciated!

Thanks

I've used it off and On for years.  Only thing I noticed is when using it I had better erections than when not using it-never worsening.

i used cialis (tadalafil) 5mg for more than one year. first i was very happy, since i thought that i had found something that could help. soon i realized that it has some side effects. after a while my varicose veins got much worse and i noticed that i developed a heartburn. i discussed it with my urologist and he said that i have to take it for rest of my life. otherwise peyronie will come back much worse. it made me very angry, because i do not want to take any medication for the rest of my life. it is expensive and it has side effects that scare me. so after a while having less pain and new hope with eswt therapy i stopped taking it on my own. but no a big new plaque developed and i am so devastated. i feel like i did something wrong?! maybe if you stop taking tadalafil the peyronie comes back, because your penis got used to it..... i dont know.... what to do? should i start again? i feel like taking pills for the rest of your life is not in option with low evidence on the drug.

maybe cialis is making you more sick than straight?

I need to say this. Alexander, are you genuine? Because I feel like many people on this sub are this purposely making people utterly scared and depressed about this disease. Like what kind of insane and odd disease would that be? Here every second person has gotten worse by actually treating it. Here on this forum that's totally common, traction makes people worse, all the time out of nowhere people are just developing new scars and plaques and what not. I do not buy that this disease has 1000 faces. How can the reoccurence rate after surgery be that low if people are developing completely new peyronies after stopping a drug that probably didn't do much in the first place. I need to know this. Does it ever stop?  Or are you in this for life having to do treatments and take drugs your whole life? Being scared every time you have sex bc you could get worse peyronies? Bc if that is the reality I want to kill myself right now on this day. What a grim and horrible sex life that would be. Jr seems that every 20 year somrthifn that gets this should just get an implant. Is that the right choice? My dick is only 4 inches anymore anyway wtf

Alex, it may be a coincidence that Peyronie's returned.  Or, cialis was holding it off and once you stopped taking cialis it continued to worsen.  It may help again  and it's not something you have to take forever once you're in the stable phase-unless you need it for erections.  Never heard of it causing varicose veins-probably a coincidence.  If it gives you heartburn and doesn't go away try an antacid or a different pde5i.

@TonySa

Yes maybe... and Maybe Not.... i havent read a rtc Study on cialis and my experience tells me it is Not Good for me. Too Many side effects. I was in stable Phase for a looooong time but It came back when i stopped cialis. And it did not get better with it... so? Why should i take it. my urologist Said if i stop Taking it, it will come back......... and now it is back.... i Wonder !
