all i seem to find is that the both combined lower blood pressure more which is not a massive issue, is there any other potential side effects?

I am pretty sure that low blood pressure is all there is. The interaction is based upon the fact that alcohol is a vasodilator. How harmful that would be to you depends on the peculiarities of your body and whether you have a history of low blood pressure problems.

It might exacerbate the temporary hearing/vision loss that some people report because your body would struggle to get blood to your head. You might pass out. It might function as having a higher dose and lead to a higher risk of priapism. Or, it might make the erection less firm. It depends.

I know I have drank on Cialis a few times and didn't have any negative side effects. But it did force me to be a lot more conscious of the alcohol levels I was consuming because I felt drunker faster.

Don't be too worried but also don't get carried away. A drink or two to help set the mood with a date while taking Cialis should be fine but don't go overboard. Pace yourself and preferably do it in on the comfort of your own home or at a place you can lie down if you feel light headed. Passing out at a bar/house party/work function/wedding etc. might be socially awkward.

Still, I am only speaking from my own experience. You might react differently.
