1 MHz or 3 MHz and does it matter?

A urologist told me to get a 3MHz model but then recommended this one to me which I realized was 1MHz. Does it really matter? I've read it has to do with how deep into the tissue it can radiate.

Supposed to help break up the plaque. I'm personally not convinced it will help that much but I'm looking to add it as an additional treatment in addition to VED and RestoreX and other meds/supplements I'll be taking over the next few months. Figured the more I throw at this thing the better chance I'll have of improvement. Ultrasound may or may not help but it's worth adding to my regimen I think.

Three-MHz Ultrasound Heats Deeper Into the Tissues Than Originally Theorized:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC522144/
referring to 2.5cm; that should mean with 1Mhz, less energy is absorbed than with 3Mhz at 2.5cm or under.  with the tunica being nowhere near 2.5 cm deep, 3Mhz would transfer more energy than 1Mhz, but still very little.

I wonder if with either frequency it would therefore be an idea to use a reflector to reflect some energy back to the tunica.
glass is a good reflector. ref https://www.researchgate.net/post/In_what_type_of_materials_can_ultrasound_waves_travel_without_much_loss

ultrasound is also of great interest - perhaps more interest for us - as a method for transdermal delivery of drugs (sonophoresis),  for that purpose , as well, I think I read 3MHz is supposed to be better than 1Mhz .

This article is fascinating as it suggests low frequency ultrasound -e.g. 20kHz can be more effective for this purpose, than high frequency, but the combination of low and high frequency can be even more.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4725305/
That is a frequency range that sonic cleaners use, and there is even a probe type model also marketed for cleaning that is affordable. 70kHz.
I bought it to make liposomes before reading this.

I bought both a 1Mhz and 3Mhz unit from aliexpress years ago- the 3Mhz one is no longer working (makes a slight noise but doesn't make any vibrations on the probe) but it has a power output of 10W.
Age 57, Onset 2010, 2" shortening, shrinking and angulation of glans, weaker erections, 30 degree bend. Mild pain few months, but far from worst symptom. Tried many ideas, not just from here, but not consistently. Moderate improvement, maybe 40%

Thanks for the detailed response. I looked on Aliexpress and it's the only place I've been able to find affordable 3 mhz devices. Thinking of ordering this one. Also considering using it in conjunction with the RestoreX. Using them both at the same time. Might as well throw some ultrasound therapy at my little buddy while he's stretched out in the RestoreX.

are you kidding, a foetal heartbeat detector!  that is probably as miniscule power as they can make it. no i mean one of these

even so i couldn't feel anything at all from it, except that it slowly heated up over several minutes. if anyone can find anything with likely higher real output intensity that would be of interest.

Ah yeah. I was actually looking at those after I posted the one I did. Question though... what setting do you use these on? All these color/power settings seem hokey.

I used it with Hi - I thought might as well, as I can't feel anything anyway, I used both wave forms eg few mins on one , few mins the other; and continuous red light,  as again might as well (though am sure it's not bright enough to do much).

an alternative might be this

or this

ultrasound power of the first is 5J/cm2. no indication of ultrasound frequency but hifu means designed to focus a few mm. should be much more energy transferred near the tunica. I don't know if its worth the risk of causing some harm mind you..

Thanks. You've been very helpful. Honestly, just got my VED in the mail today and I'm a bit overwhelmed just figured out how best to use it, so I might hold off on the ultrasound device for now.
