Penis scarring

Hi all. I live in the United Kingdom. For the last 3 years or so I've been having weaker erections during the day and my nocturnal erections have completely gone. I've been to the docs and all tests come back fine which just adds to my frustration. I've finally after all of this time managed to convince a doctor to refer me to a urologist and this appointment will take place in 4th August 2020 (coronavirus problems permitting) so fingers crossed I might get some answers. What I have found is that about one-half of my shaft has turned less flexible and less elastic and has turned into scar-like tissue. I'm in pain in that area when having sex and it is definitely desensitised. I've read that this is down to me not having my nocturnal erections and the fact that the Penis has not been getting the appropriate amount of oxygen. I've discussed this with a couple of doctors who look at me like I'm crazy but hopefully I get more answers from the urologist. Whilst what I have (or think I have) is not technically Peyronie's it still involves this scar-like tissue. It is a more general band of scar-like tissue as opposed to being in one particular area. I can't feel any lump(s) and there is a very slight curve but hardly noticeable. I have been taking Tadalafil 5mg daily for 6 months which has helped the erections but the pain and desensitisation remains. Is it possible to post a photo on here? No worries if not. Many Thanks

Yes, you can post a pic once you've had several posts (not sure how many-maybe 9?)
Not all Peyronie's plaques results in curves.  Have you lost any length or width?
First thing to do is to take objective measurements.  You can read the survival guide for info on that and it will help you prepare for the doc appt.  Have they tested your testosterone and estradiol levels yet?

Thanks TonySa. That Link is very useful thank you. Yes I've had those tests...everything comes back fine so it's a bit of a mystery. I think I have lost a bit of length yes. I've got a Urologist appointment on 4th August so hopefully they can tell me more. I've been fobbed off by so many doctors and I am so angry that I've had to research myself what I think has happened to me. I finally have this Urology appointment after 3 years of going to the doctors. I feel this 3 years has been wasted and I could have been more productive

I think we have now several of similar like these with no direct plaque and this "diffuse" scaring/hardening. Can't remember the user rn though.
If it's not one continuous and thick "faulty tissue" I think something transdermal will be good for this. (It's harder to get at/into a thick round dense plaque)
Especially for my EU/UK bro's who have crap health care systems. (of course all DIY and no doc in the EU/UK will OK it in fear of the government)

Hi Melting. Yes I think I have this diffuse hardening/scarring as a result of the disappearance of my nocturnal erections. There is nothing palpable that I can feel. I'm not sure if this makes my prognosis better or worse? Hopefully I will get more answers from the Urologist that I'm seeing next month...until then is there anything that I can do that you feel may help me?

Low dose nightly generic cialis (2.5-5mg) is worth a try which can improve erections and with time help remodel any plaque to healthy tissue.

Hi TonySa yes I've been taking the nightly Cialis (5mg) every night for the last 6 months. I haven't been able to regain my nocturnal erections unfortunately during this time but I think it has been able to help with my erections during the day. In terms of the (self diagnosed) fibrosis I don't think it's helped to remodel or reverse the hardened tissue but perhaps it may have halted things getting even worse?

TonySa it mentions Co Q10, Acetyl L- Carnitine and L-arginine as possible useful supplements in the Survival Guide. Have any of these been shown to be more useful than the other? Is it best to start with one of these or can they all be taken together?

I think you can take all three but am really not up to speed w those.  Hoping someone else will weigh in.  You may be getting NTEs and sleeping through them.  You can lightly tape a paper band around your penis before you go to bed and see if it breaks overnight-usually due to nte.

TonySa thanks. I don't think I am. I think this is what is causing my problem. As a result of my lack of NTE's I believe that my member has been in a "hypoxic" state for too long periods. This lack of oxygenation I believe has caused the fibrosis. I have no idea what to do about it. The doctors (one of which has a special interest in sexual dysfunction) has said that all the appropriate tests have been done and I have no abnormal findings in terms of blood tests, testosterone, etc.  I haven't had a penile ultrasound yet though.

It's good your tests are OK.
How is your fitness level otherwise? Using the legs, running or/and fitness will create good blood flow long term through your penis too. Same artery ways.

Also, make sure your pelvic floor is a)relaxed b) balanced and then c) in shape. If it's tense it can prevent blood flow to the penis(which sits at the end of the PF and suffers if the PF prevents blood flow). Lot's about it on the web.
