Hey people,

New to this after hovering over the idea of joining this forum. Guess the admission that I needed additional help won over my ego.

Anyways...Feel free to check my intro for my back story and any advice you have. After my discovery of a second Peyronies Disease plaque/nodule in my distal right shaft under the head (odd place for a "microtrauma"), I started looking up possibilities for what the heck is going on with two plaques in an 8 mo time span esp with no vigorous sex or aggressive masterbation.

I found this article which talks about the pathomechanics of the initial stage of Peyronies Disease: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28744308/

It discusses how the cytokines in the body play a role, specifically TGF-B1 which seems to be the big player. But others as well.

After some more research I came across Wim Hof method which is known for the breath work as well as yoga and meditation: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4034215/

I found this article that studied two groups of people  injected with a bio compound to make them sick. Group A was the control and group B was the wim hof breathers. Conclusions show that the breath work oxidizes the blood and engages in the autonomic nervous and immune system.

So in the Wim study, it shows the effect of decreasing cytokines, and it listed TNF-a, which is also a cytokine listed in the first study. TGF-B1 was also listed but didnt seem to have much impact. but who knows.

So my thoughts were if the blood can be oxygenated, over time and deliver nutrients to the body and the penis, than there can be some degree of benefit during the acute stages during plaque formation. But this would also be done in tandem with the oral supplements, transdermals etc.

So far I have been doing it once a day and thinking of increasing it twice a day if I can remember. but it seems to be a good way to deliver healthy blood in the body. Also, a method like this wouldnt show results in weeks, maybe even a month. Im guessing this will have to be an on going thing through the Peyronies Disease progression.

Any thoughts on this?
32 yo. Unknown cause. 1st plaque proximal left base near pelvis 9/19. Expanded and shrunk after 8 mo by 50% (still working on it). Minor bend but malleable. 2nd small plaque 5/20 superficial distal right just under tip. Currently growing. No bend.

Yes great idea, and together with a relaxed pelvic floor that can ensure healthy and fresh blood circulation into the penis.
Doing the Hof breathing(and similar yogic stuff), if done right, almost forces your pelvic floor to be relaxed.

Update:

Im starting the breathing twice a day every other day and once a day for the days in between due to my schedule. I have also started to do gentle penile stimulation to get an erection during the breath hold phase to get the oxygenated blood as much as i can in that area.

Basically when doing the exercise, you can feel your hands and feet and arms and legs tingle from the oxygenation. so I figured penile stimulation will also help with blood flow.
