This below article doesn't tell us much new, it is however an interesting read, if you have the time;

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7108984/

What is seems to indicate that it is (mostly) a Caucasian disease, happens (mostly) in older Men.

Guess with Peyronie's we can't truly identify the cause so to speak and that it is a hugely complicated issue because one guys Peyronie's can be manifestly different from other guys  :-\

It all seems to center around Myofibroblasts

Comparison of apoptotic gene expression profiles between Peyronie's disease plaque and tunica albuginea

"Similar expressions in Peyronie's plaque and tunica albuginea suggest that Peyronie's plaque is not a localized disease of tunica albuginea, rather it develops from the vulnerable regions of TA exposed to deleterious factor(s), trauma being the prominent one"
