Tdix: we need more people like you! warms my heart that we have members that think about giving back so much after they took the plunge. Good luck with Coloplast.

TDix

We should all do it!  Think about it, unless you are looking for this information, who would see it?  Even if someone you knew did, so what?  Only people in my whole life that have seen my penis are my parents as a kid, girlfriends, doctors, and my wife.  Life is too short, and I feel the need to get this info out, because as I can see on this forum, many men suffer in silence

I couldn't agree more with you, that a lot of men suffer in silence about this. But you can't deny the fact that it is very hard to talk about this openly for a lot of people. The stigma in society in general and the way people would joke about it is just too much..... and i am speaking for myself here...

Things do seem very differently from the stories we hear and read from way back. Ads for ED all over... for ED treatments.. Pills, shockwave and whatnot. But this is a topic that can spur hours long conversations.

Hell, just think about how hard it is for some couples to discuss basic bedroom issues that cause so much grievance throughout the years.....

TDix

I get it, but at my age, and I am supposedly young here😂, I don't care.  You wanna laugh at me for having penile problems?  Have at it.  I'm not satisfying anyone with it other than my wife.  Goes way back to jr high when kids would laugh at other kids with small penises.  What does that accomplish?  I get the whole kid thing but we are adults now!  I would never look at a woman who had to have a mastectomy and say she was less of a woman.  She is unique in her own way, as are all of us.  If we don't get the word out that this is not a closet phenomenon then no one will feel confident enough to come out and say they need help.  I wouldn't wish this condition on any man, but it is what life has given me, and I choose to share and inform to better other men and couples

Hey guys, so I am 4 months post op, and let's just say things are doing good.  One point I wanted to post is my wife has climaxed every time we have been together.  Definitely different than prior to implant.  I asked her about this, and she said "there is no more worry about you losing your erection".  I can now compete with her!😂.

Just one more example of not only fixing a penis, but the psychological benefits for both of you.  When you don't even have to wonder whether you are good for the duration you can relax and actually fully enjoy sex in a way you probably couldn't because of maturity level in your 20's.  And often You can't because of functionality when you are older.

I look at the equation this way:

1 mature man + 1 17yr old boy's penis = the best sex on the planet.

Let's just say I am FAR from a porn star, but I can hang now!  She lets me know when she's almost there, and that gets me there.  When we were younger it was more about me concentrating to hold back and last.  The ever ending conundrum for a horny young man.  Now it's more mutual!  You're almost there?  Ok I'll get there.  I would've been extremely dangerous with this in my 20's!  😂

Also, for other fellow implantees, I 𝐎ffer one word....patience.  Your implant will make you feel like a 20 year old again, but not your partner.  It takes work to get back to where you and your partner enjoy being like rabbits again.  My wife and I are slowly getting back that spark, but after years of being somewhat distant due to peyronie's, swelling, hematomas, fracture, waiting between Xiaflex injections, healing from surgery, waiting to see if pills or injections work......you get the point.  My implant is a godsend and I'm a horn dog like I used to be, but as a couple there is a lot of work to do in order to get back to a normal sex life

Been awhile, so just wanted to update this thread.  Penis is awesome, no issues, no advancement of Peyronie's scarring.  Length is where it used to be.  Love being somewhat of a shower now.  My video I did with Yafi is on hold due to budget challenges, but it's not fully scrapped (yet).  Like I've said if it ever sees the light of day this forum will be the first place it's shown.  Haven't been able to help anyone through Coloplast yet, but I am waiting in the wings

Almost at the 8 month mark.  Unfortunately I don't think my video with Yafi will come out anytime soon (budget?), but I am always open for a redo.  After the 4 month mark I stopped aggressively cycling, but started again as I can still get some soreness at maximum pump, so there's a possibility of adding a little more length.  I have noticed that my crus has settled in to where it was prior, causing a slight lean to the left, but that was always there most of my life.  Still straight as an arrow, just a slight left lean.  Other than that, nothing really has changed.  It's definitely the new me.  No more constant worry about any progression of disease or curve.  No worry of growing scar tissue.  That is all in the past.  What I will say is I go commando most of the time now!  Haha

Congratulations TDIX.
It only gets better and better.
Before I got the implant, even in my 40's, once I came, my penis would go soft and only after some more stimulation and more than a few minutes, was I able to get it back up. Now of course, it's a penis that stays hard as a rock until I decide to deflate. The spouse loves it.
My implant gave me more girth than I had prior.
Have you noticed that your penis is thicker? Longer?
Thanks for your update.

I am definitely thicker, and I would say I am where I was length wise prior to peyronie's.  I think if I aggressively continue to cycle I might get to where I was as a teenager.  I never really measured myself that young, but as an older man you know you're not as big for various reasons.  I'm completely fine with my length now, which currently is about 6 3/4 inches.  I think I "might" be able to get to 7

That is exciting! Do you get a monthly payment? I have an acquaintance in Baltimore that has been contemplating an implant. I have counseled him, but he says he would like to see one and feel it. LOL, I told him if I was up north, I would let him do it. I told him to check with his urologist, I am sure they have options of seeing it in real life and ask questions. Is that something that is available?
Just curious,

As far as I know, I am simply to share my experience with potential patients.  I get compensated for office visits, phone conversations, seminars, etc...no monthly payment (I wish!).  They are very specific that I do not try to sell an implant or particular doctor.  As far as showing myself off, I don't think Coloplast wants that, but if a guy, or couple, really wanted to see/feel etc., I would consider it depending on the vibe and situation.

If you read my journal, I was fortunate to see and talk with two men in Dr. Eid's office.  Their exuberance alone was enough to reassure me even though I was pretty committed once I decided to make the move.  I recall my wife said to me, "I don't think you will actually go through with this."

I looked at her and said, "Yeh, well, just watch."  When I FINALLY had enough of VED's, traction, supplements, PDE5 inhibitors, BiMix injections, cockrings, and depending on sex toys, it was just like something snapped.  I could not get an implant fast enough.."

It is an encouragement to see and hear actual success stories of guys who have had an implant!  We watch shows about guys having arms and legs replaced. Years ago you hardly ever heard anything about an implant and if you did it was about this bendable thing placed inside of your penis. It was scary to think about. Now things are different. There is actual proof that implants are successful and work.  Also the added bonus of keeping yourself hard for as long as you want .

I just had my first patient referred to me from Dr Yafi.  It's nice to inform someone who is contemplating ways to fix themself.  It's just like the forum, but instead having an actual conversation.  I also recommended he check out this forum!  Also, I was contacted by UCI to come in and do another video.  This time with a professional film crew.  We will see what happens!

TDIX, that is exciting news.
I don't know if you watch HBO.
But there was a show called the Deuce, it was about porn in America and how it was run by gangs, but one prostitute decided to turn it into a "respectable" business.
There are few similarities, LOL, but the fact that you are on the cutting edge of bringing implants more notoriety is a wonderful thing.
The more people talk about implants, the more men will realize they no longer have to suffer silently.
I have told everyone in my family about my implant, but my spouse is still skittish in telling her family.
Interestingly enough, when I have any surgeries, I always write penile implant. Well back in December while having a heart catheterization, where they go into your heart via veins in the arm and groin, I am spread Eagle while a male nurse shaves around my balls. Because our penises have some rigidity in them even when delayed, the female nurse came up to me and whispered in my ear. "Have you taken any Viagra within the last 24 hours, because if you have, we can give your penis an injection to make it go down. WTF
I said, 1, I have an implant and it's on my chest
2. If the nurse would quit moving it around, I am sure it will be fine, LOL
And 3 if you get a needle anywhere near my penis, as it is contains enough tubing to run an aquarium, there will be a huge problem and as she started laughing in my ear,  I said it could explode, LOL.
At that moment everyone in the operating room that had been listening carefully to my conversation with the nurse started laughing.
The doctor apologized, but everything was fine. Six more people now know what an implant looks like when deflated, LOL

That's a funny story Step!  You and I are similar in that there is no shame in having an implant.  We don't shout it from the rooftops, but if it comes up we are very open about it.  Also having a sense of humor also helps!  I feel I would be the same as you in a similar situation.  A lot different than sitting in an ER  huge hematomas and a fractured eggplant, trying to tell the nurse that it happened from a medical procedure!  "What's Peyronie's". "What's Xiaflex"......ughh

TDIX this is incredible!  We could call you, "The Poster Child of Penile Implants,"  not that you would want a picture of your penis on billboard.  LOL.  This is what I call a sheer act of humanitarianism.  What a sense of satisfaction of being able to help individuals suffering from this terrible disease!

You are providing hope and encouragement for a distraught individual!  Showing them that there is a successful solution and light at the end of the tunnel.  You are to be commended at not being ashamed or embarrassed about this.  You may not even comprehend now just how many lives you will impact.  :) Mike

So I've gone back to daily cycling for about 2 months, and I got there, 7"!  I went through a period where I thought I might have a leak because I could pump multiple added pumps after getting a firm erection.  I asked Dr Yafi, and he said nope you've just expanded yourself, so it allows more fluid in, since the reservoir has more fluid than the cylinders can hold.  Now, when I measure myself, unaroused I am 6.5", but aroused I am 7".  When you think about it,  the aroused length is the true length because a normal person would only get an erection when aroused.  Only us implantees can get an erected measurement without arousal

TDIX, thanks for sharing this with us. I too had the thoughts that I still might be growing, because I most always pump to maximum and then a few minutes later I still get a few more pumps in. It seems when I only pumped for sex, we usually do the deed 2-3 times a week, I actually thought I was loosing a little girth. So I pump about 5 times a week and have noticed the extra bit of girth coming back. Maybe I am imagining, but it helps me feel good, so what the heck, lol.
