Carnivore diet or Keto ?

Hello fellas,

I truly believe that my eating habits can play an important factor in regard to the healing process of this condition. However, I really do not know which path I should take, since the opinions vary greatly. The member skunkworks said in the thread on carnivore diet, that this way of eating was the only one that proved to be beneficial for him and that other diets such as keto basically amounted to nothing. What I do not understand is whether this extreme carnivore diet is meant only for people who experience pain and are genetically predisposed to Peyronies Disease (diabetes, DNA) like the member Neo or if everyone with Peyronies Disease can go on this diet. I ask because I initially read that most meats, especially red meats, are actually inflammatory, and, since I am in the acute phase, this actually would worsen my present state as far as I know.

Any anti-inflammatory could help but I believe should accompany other treatments for success.
PxD 2 yrs 9/16.  Failed all treatment. 9/11/18: excision, grafting & implant Dr Karpman MtnView Ca, AMS CX 18cm + 3-1cm RTEs.

I would take a none steroid antiinflammatory. Like ibuprofen. 400mg daily. Its helped to stop my pain.

As far as diet is concerned. The theory most agree with. Is carbs are the enemy. They slow down motabolism. They also clog up the cardiovascular system. Especially none complex carbs like white bread and sugar. A carnivorous diet and keto diet eliminate carbs to minimum.

Personally, I can't do a keto diet. Weight loss was rapid. Never considered a carnivorous diet. I have a low carb diet and have felt the benefits. Feel lighter and has helped with peyronie's.

It's personal choice. Go with your gut feeling. If it's not working. Try the other. Probably keto if meats are inflammatory and your at the early stage.  
Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.

Had better results from carnivore, personally.
Snake Diet + 5-day fasts + pentox + NeoV's stretching routine + Mito Red Light. Curvature 99% gone.

I also used Todd Capistrant's "Fascial Distortion Model" to help my curvature. Start slowly.

I did keto for several months but my cholesterol spiked to high heaven. I then read Mark Sisson's blogs and books about the primal lifestyle, and I toned it down a bit to lowish/moderate carb. Basically i cut out all sugar and grains and processed food of any kind (no bacon or cheese included, my choice), eat usually between 50-75 grams of net carbs a day, all of which come from fruits (only berries, no other fruits - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and golden berries), non starch vegetables (a big kale or spinach salad with other veggies), avocados, and nuts (walnuts and pistachios). I eat two eggs a day as well, along with wild sardines, wild salmon, wild clams, and wild shrimp (not a pescatarian, but I mostly eat seafood for my meat intake. Pork and chicken here and there, red meat occasionally).

Secondly, I do intermittent fasting between 16-20 hours a day, every day. I haven't done an extended fast because I still take meds like Pentox and Cialis and fasting for days with those is probably a bad idea.

This diet not only lowered my cholesterol back to normal, but it brought my a1c down lower than keto did. I got peyronie's when my a1c was 5.7 (pre-diabetic), vegan and keto both brought it to 5.4, but this way of eating brought it to 5.1! I know keto and other more intense diets like carnivore work for some people, but if you're looking for something that doesn't completely reject an entire category of nutrient packed foods, consider it.

Wolf, LDL cholesterol doesn't mean much of anything.
Check out Dave Feldman's research on talks on this. Basically only your remnant cholesterol matters. However, good work on the lower BG. Carnivore does cause higher BG than keto, even if it doesn't matter according to many.

I'll check out Feldman. I've heard so many conflicting things about cholesterol that I honestly don't know what to believe, but when my doctor saw my cholesterol he freaked even though he's a low carb advocate himself. I unfortunately haven't noticed any significant change in my dents or hourglassing but I'm hoping I will after more time + pelvic therapy to address my hard flaccid which I know is making everything look worse.

I'm curious about carnivore though. How can that really be healthy when it's depriving the body of so many other foods with different nutrients?
