A treatment that destroys fibrotic cells and spares healthy cells, this could be it. it looks like trail proteins have been studied since 1999 without a drug on the market as of now. You can buy TRAIL protein for $1350 per MG for reserach purposes https://www.prospecbio.com/apo2l_human

This is good news. Let's see how it goes.

Let's see how what goes? This is like the 500th drug I've heard of that nobody will ever trial for peyronie's. Nothing will come of this.

This drug does sound interesting....maybe my grandchildren will have more options than we have today. There is literally nothing new on the horizon to treat Peyronies Disease.

......and you when I made my last post I found this:

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04326465?term=peyronie&draw=2&rank=1

anybody living in British Columbia?

Peyronie's Disease is a fibrosing disorder of the penis where scar tissue known as a "plaque" forms along the shaft of the penis. This plaque can lead to penile deformity, erectile dysfunction and pain during intercourse. Furthermore, Peyronie's Disease has been shown to negatively affect the quality of life and cause psychosocial distress. Currently, treatments for Peyronie's Disease are invasive (injections or surgery). This study investigates the use of a non-invasive and extra-dermal Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser Therapy to treat chronic phase Peyronie's Disease.

Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser Therapy works by destroying and reducing abnormal collagen (a major component found in Peyronie's Disease plaques) in scarred tissue. Although Fractional Carbon Dioxide Lasers have yet to be used in the field of urology, it has already been used safely and successfully to treat conditions similar to Peyronie's Disease (ie. hypertrophic burn scars).

Study participants enrolled in this study will be required to attend 6 study visits. The first study visit is a 'Screening Visit'. At this visit, a medical history and baseline penile measurements (degree of curvature, stretched length, and circumference deformity at flaccid and erect states) will be collected. Study participants will also be asked to complete the International Index of Erectile Function Questionnaire, and Peyronie's Disease Questionnaire.

Following the 'Screening Visit', study participants will be scheduled for four Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser Therapy sessions. These sessions will be scheduled once every four weeks (totaling of 12 weeks from the first therapy session).

The last study visit will occur four weeks after the last Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser Therapy session. At this visit, post-therapy penile measurements, International Index of Erectile Function, and Peyronie's Disease scores will be collected.

TLY012 is a PEGylated Human TRAIL protein that has been shown to ameliorate fibrotic cells. You can buy Human TRAIL protein and there are several companies that offer PEGylation services, BIOCHEMPEG scientific inc is one such company. The TRAIL protein is extremely expensive as is the PEGylation service.

Exclusion criteria include calcified plaque and anyone that has used xiaflex along with a bunch of other stuff. Looks like they want only easy peasy cases. Good luck. Sounds like more b.s.

I contacted these people about enrollment. No reply. Doesn't matter anyway, I do not meet their criteria. If you read them they basically want to cure peyronie's by recruiting people that don't have it. Can't have done any treatment, no calcified plaque, no erectile dysfunction, etc. Only want people that were recently diagnosed with soft plaque and mild symptoms that haven't done any treatment. What is the point of this? Why even study asinine stuff? And why take two years to trial it? I could trial that in one month and I'm not a doctor. They should be trialing tens of thousands of drugs per year. In fact this is basically the only things humans should be occupied in doing. Everything else in life is basically unimportant.

Samsung......not sure how many clinical trials you have looked at but this is standard operating procedure for CT's. (In reference to the Fractional Carbon Dioxide Laser Therapy). I have no idea how effective something like this might be since it appears to be so non-invasive. My earlier point was that there just isn't much on the horizon as far as new treatments.

I know. I'm just saying the whole clinical trial process is flawed, illogical and corrupt. And takes too long. Give people right to try anything they want.

I know it isn't that simple obviously,  but whole process is extremely frustrating especially when we all know there are drugs and other things out there that would probably cure this.
