Traction by hand dorsolateral curve angle, grip and regimen ideas?

I have most of the scarring at the top of the shaft. Near the head basically in the middle. And to the left im just reaching out seeing. What has worked for you guys? When it comes to doing traction by hand. Hard to get a grip. Any help would be appreciated.
