Skin reaction with DMSO

I just got some 70/30 DMSO/Aloe Vera gel from Amazon.

I washed the nook of my elbow and applied it. Within a few minutes I felt a burning/cracking sensation (cracking sort of my the surface of my skin was cracking apart just a little).

I washed off the DMSO/aloe, and now the skin in my elbow is red and sort of tender looking and wrinkly.

Anyway, I won't apply anything to my penis until I figure out how to not have a reaction. I'm sad that this treatment option may not work for me.

I wonder if there's anything I should do to make DMSO more feasible as a treatment. Its already diluted in the aloe-vera gel. I could dilute it further? I could apply it with castor oil?
I'm assuming the DSMO has already had its heat reaction since it's in the aloe vera gel (which includes water), so that can't be what's happening on my skin.

Not feeling too keen to put this on my penis right now.
Most of my plaque is just behind my glans, so I'd have to retract my foreskin to apply it, and the skin there is pretty sensitive.

Advice? Thanks.

Be very careful w DSMO, one has to be very knowledgeable to use it.

I've tried diluting the DMSO/aloe in a little bit of water, and mixed in some asorbic acid.

Again, I applied to my elbow crease and a spot on my forearm.
There is no burning in either location, but there is some slight itching. I get a similar sensation when applying magnesium oil.

Still not sure about application to penis. I'm not seeing any visual signs of a problem... no redness, soreness, changes in texture, etc. But maybe with repeated use it could be bad. I dunno.

May not be bad, but unlikely very helpful...lots more approaches to try w success rates in research and by guys here.  What else are you doing?

I have noticed that other part of body are more sensitive than your penis with dmso. I use the 70/30 roll on and get a slight tingle, but nothing bad. Add some castol oil and it is barley noticed.

Tonysa

L-arginine 1000 mg x3
coq10 200 mg
magnesium 500 mg
gingko biloba 60 mg x2
krill oil 2000mg (but I'm not taking this for peyronie's)

I take ibuprofin after sex or masturbation to cut down on inflammation.
I drink tea with turmeric, ginger, and black pepper, usually twice a day.
I'm using VED for 15 minutes once a day.
I do occasional traction by hand, but doubtedly often/long enough to make any difference.
I've been doing prolonged head with hand warmers

I'm trying to through a log of anti-inflammatories in my food... ginger, chili, turmeric, black pepper, garlic, etc.
Intermittent fasting.

No urologist will prescribe me pentox or daily low-dose cialis. One doctor prescribed me sildenafil (viagra) as needed
for ED, but he hasn't signed off on a prior auth so my insurance won't cover it.

TonySa, why don't you think DMSO+ will do anything?

Mac you can use low dose nightly viagra instead if cialis.

I don't know that it won't help, but I haven't seen any studies supporting it nor many guys claiming it helped them (except a couple Guys recently on the forum   Who indicated something improvement w dents or narrowing.  Also, you must be very careful to do it correctly to not burn yourself or let it bring contaminants into your penis w the DMSO.

Well a lot of my issues have to do with dents and narrowing so thats encouraging I guess. Do you think the guys who claim this helps are being genuine??

If I start using it I will be very careful.

Thanks I'm finally going to get sildenafil so thats some progress.

Sure, I think their genuine.  But there's been maybe 2-3 guys reporting progress and I believe without measurements.
Traction has demonstrated success for reading lost length and girth.  What about trying that?

Yeah. I have been considering traction.
I'm done some intermittent manual traction but not with any consistency.

I'm thinking about trying to get restorex.

I used restorex for 6 months. It absolutely brought back length and girth. It also brought with it hourglassing around the entirety of the clamp area.

I am trying to fix it now with VED (which is helping). Would I use restorex again even knowing this problem? Yes. Cause between the 2 I am functional and without pain. I am in my mid 30s and active.

Restorex gave you hourglassing? Gahhh

I'm using VED now. How long did it take for VED to correct your hourglassing...

Also... isn't hourglassing a kind of loss of girth?
I am hesitant because a lot of my loss of girth/hourglassing is near the glans and I don't want to make it worse. :(

I haven't experienced any loss of length, so I'm not super concerned about that.

Indented,

I'm assuming from your name that you suffered from indentations. Did VED or Restorex help at all with that?

Thanks.

Hi there,
Yes. I have a dent (and still do have it) about 2 inches from the base of my penis. The head has a palpable nodule that has diminished (albeit still present) with restorex. I've taken photos along the way. What stinks is I didn't want to believe the restorex could do it but after my uro did a second ultrasound a year later, there is scar tissue in a circle around where my clamp site was/is. Maybe if I did VED concurrently with it it would have helped? I don't know. I can tell you that in 2 months of using VED I have seen noticeable improvement in hourglassing.

Cool. I'll keep it up with the VED.

Sad to hear your dent didn't go away. :/
