I want to stop taking pentox as i don't want something that compromises my immune system during this coronavirus outbreak, especially in the lungs. I'm in the stable phase now so don't really need to take it anymore and infact i only take 1 tablet a day.

Do you get any withdrawals or symptoms from stopping and are there any natural supplements that can ease this?

If lungs are a concern then read up on Cordyceps, think they will help IMO  :), can also give (mild) Libido boost.

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Best to ask a pharmacist, buy it sounds like you've tapered yourself off...and someone here said it made them more vulnerable to the cold virus...not sure how common that is...
But, it may actually help immune problems?  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/7804717/

Tapering yourself down was what I did when I had to stop taking it.  I did have chest pounding sensation / heart fluttering when I laid down for about 3-5 days after stopping, but wasn't that bad.   I tried looking up the proper method of stopping pentox, but there was nothing of value found.  The only thing I found was to not stopping take it  without talking to your doctor or outright stopping in cases of allergic reaction.

Pretty sure you can quit whenever you want without a problem. If Pentox gives you severe side effects just quit altogether. It's not like you'll get withdrawal symptoms like you get with some drugs and it's debateable if pentox is even helpfull for peyronies anyway.
Age: 25
Date of onset: 17

Agree with popopo. It's doubtful that Pentox is even a Peyroines drug anyway. Giving it to Peyroines patients is just an off-label use of it anyway. It's never been approved by the FDA to treat Peyroines. Only Xiaflex is. Pentox is just a blood thinner. I took it for a year after getting Peyroines and from a visual standpoint I could see no change or improvement in the least. I gave up taking it because I thought it was worthless. Did it maybe do some good I never noticed? I've toyed with the idea lately because my Peyroines got better, to a degree, over 4 years, so I can't say it's totally useless. I just don't know.

Yes, funny thing is that I keep taking it for years now just because it "can" help. It's became more of a mental thing now. If I'm honest I'm like 90% sure pentox doesn't do anything for me, yet I keep taking it in hopes of getting better. I think I might quit pentox soon and take Cialis instead. Unfortunately Cialis is a lot more expensive and not covered by insurance.

Yeah, I've had to rethink whether Pentox does anything. Maybe it reduces.progression of Peyroines and we just don't notice it? Hard to say. It definitely is harmless, even if it doesn't work. So, I'd recommend it for at least the first year out. My Peyroines got better on its own. Whether the Pentox had anything to do with it I have no idea. It is anti-inflammatory so who knows?

Fix This

If you were taking Pentox and your peyronies got better, doesn't that mean that the Pentox did work and made your peyronies better ?! Or maybe ? ...

I'm also thinking of stoppimg Pentox and maybe evrything else apart from Cialis during the coronavirus pandemic

I've taken Pentox for about 6 noths only. Can't say I think it's made a big difference from what I can see either

I'm attacking it though, and I will fix this!

If no change, it could be preventing worsening.  If you go off, Watch closely for any worsening.

If i'm right pentox can slowdown the dumping of collegen during the acute stage, so in theory keep the plaque size down. So once in the stable phase it's not doing alot apart from help with circulation, or reducing chances of a flare up.

I think i'm going to taper down a bit more maybe 1/2 a tablet, as (A) there is some talk of people on anti inflammatories having a worse time when effected by the virus and i'm in london which is getting pretty bad and i'm in and out of peoples homes in my job. (b) i don't want to stop completely because even when i stop taking a vitamin i lose sleep for some reason, so stoping a more poweful drug will probably have a bit of an effect at a time we should all be keeping our health and immune systems in shape.

Thanks for your replies, very informative.

what is the source of the idea that pentox compromises your immune system? I have heard this too and made a similar thread in light of coronavirus, but in all of my googling I can't find any mention of immune system side effects for Pentox

I've only heard guys say that it affected them in that way (ie susceptible to colds), don't see any research supporting it.
