Should I stop taking antidepressants?
« on: February 13, 2020, 03:49:48 PM »

I wonder if it would be better to stop taking antidepressants while my penis doesn't heal.
Since peyronies, mondor's disease and some other penile injuries and conditions are related to blood flow, I wonder if taking antidepressants that cause some erectile dysfunction doesn't help the healing?

Also should I be mixing antidepressants with blood thinners like Pentox and others, or could it be dangerous?

Thanks

You can google drug interactions, but I haven’t heard of any such negative interactions.  Also, haven’t seen any research indicating anti-depressants exacerbating peyronies.

SSRI's will impair your libido.

I had a friend who was on an SSRI and it made his penis numb, and he was only on it for two weeks. It took a month for full sensation to return. (but something this extreme is probably rare).

I take Wellbutrin for depression, and that doesn't interfere with libido at all.
