Hello all, I have been reading on this forum for about 8 months, and after having benefited from a lot of the advice here, thought I'd start posting my own experience to help add to this body of knowledge, but first, may as well post an intro.

Age - 34
Age at onset of Peyronies Disease - 33

Very First Symptoms - Jan 2019. Noticed (3) slightly painful nodules during masturbation- one at base, one midway up shaft, and one 3/4 way up shaft. They feel more or less centered inside the shaft, rather than on the front, back (dorsal, ventral) or sides. I also noticed a 3/4"x1/4" tube-like plaque that connected to the nodule at the base, extending into my pelvic area/deep urethra. I don't know if that's always been there and was what caused my "congenital" curve, or what. They are all hard to find without poking around quite a bit- my doctor and 2 uros had a hard time finding them without my telling them exactly where to poke. It was all a huge shocker. Noticed weaker erections over a few weeks, possibly increase in bending (i already had congenital 10 degree leftward curvature), and more of a "swollen" portion at the base. In general there seemed to be multiple things going on at the same time.

My Peyronies Disease progression, Treatments, Doctors, Psychological Stages, observable changes -

  • Treatments: Andropenis traction, manual traction, Viagra, Keto, Pentox, VED, supplements, all separately and in short spurts with periods of giving up in between.
  • Psychological: I had researched my 5-10 degree leftward congenital curve on the internet years before, I knew immediately that these new nodules were probably a case of peyronies, and felt a lot of anxiety. I knew right away that I had to see a uro or doctor, that I needed to act fast. But I tried to drink it away and ignore it for about 6 months. I became even more depressed than I already was. Have experienced suicidal thoughts, frustration, panic, fear. This forum was the best thing going for me and kept me going.
  • Observable changes: Since the start of my peyronie's, I've noticed my Erectile Dysfunction being the worst issue. When I am erect (as I can get), I notice a curve that is in addition to my congenital curve of about 5-10 degrees, so about 20 degrees total to the left and about 5 degrees upwards with a new dent on the left side about midway up shaft. I believe I've also lost about 1" in length and 1/2" in girth. Have not been too scientific about measurement since erections are rare, and I may be in some denial about it and don't want to quantify my curvature and loss of size. Just want it to get better. Nodules are no longer painful.
Where I am today, future plans -

  • This past year has been the darkest year in my life. Underlying anything good or fun that's happened is this feeling that I have peyronie's and my dick doesn't work, so what's the point? I've broken up with my GF, moved in with my parents, and have been severely depressed. I am 34 and living with my parents, and have peyronie's... lol...  :'(
This forum, and NeoV's videos have been a shining beacon in my life. Hearing all of your experiences with this has helped me stay positive and proactive. I think I am in the acute phase, but am not sure yet how treatment should change when one transitions from acute to chronic. I think I may have a little of both. For the past week, I've started combining everything I've tried so far; 12 months of trying a little of this, a little of that, combined into one daily routine. My new approach is targeted at promoting healthy blood circulation in the lower body, and then therapies for my penis:

    • Circulation: I was drinking, smoking weed and cigarettes every day, but have managed after many relapses to cut almost all of that out. Diet changes - low carb, low sugar, intermittent fasting, stretching, cardio/weights, and breathing techniques, all of which are not directly related to having a bent dong but I think are related to the causes of peyronie's. I think prolonged sitting can eventually lead to the dark side. No more porn, nofap for now until dick starts working again without porn or stimulation. I want to regain my NTE's and morning wood.
    • Targeted therapy: By combining heat sock, manual and mechanical traction, and VED, I've been noticing some reduction in my dent and improvement in circulation. I am also taking a bunch of the supplements mentioned commonly on this forum- pentox, arginine, sildenafil (viagra), vit e, coQ10 (qunol), magnesium, and multivitamin. I seem to be regaining some girth, length and circulation as of the past week of all-out therapy. At the same time, having read other's experiences, being careful not to get too excited about VED and overdo it. I guess it's a combination of all-out "balls deep", and taking it slow and having patience. Hoping for some progress. Only time will tell.
I have so many things to talk about with you all but here to introduce myself.

Hello and thanks.[/size]

Welcome to the forum DarthPronius.  I am glad you found us.  I am guessing you have read the P Survival Guide by now.  it is a highlighted sticky post at the top of this board.

It sounds like you have a plan and have made some much-needed changes.  Hats off to you.  That positive attitude will empower you and do more good than anything else.  Stay positive.

You should absolutely follow the objective precise measuring as found in the Peyronies Survival Guide.  That is the ONLY way to know if treatments are working or not.  It is essential because you cannot subjectively determining something as emotionally charged as penis size without it.  You can only guess if a treatment or lifestyle is working.

Best wishes, Keep us posted.

Thanks for the reply Hawk. You are right, I should take measurements and be more objective about changes. Will start tracking to see if anything happens.

You have probably read this.  If not, read it twice.  I think the section on taking necessary objective measurements is pretty detailed but if you have ANY quests just ask.  We are here with you and you have a lot of great life ahead.
