No sign of plaque?
« on: February 06, 2020, 05:36:13 PM »

I cannot remember any pain or injury and have no signs of plaque. About a year ago my erect penis developed a 45 degree upward bend causing my wife discomfort and making intercoarse impossible. I have not seen a doctor but tried a vacuum device [bath mate] 2x15 minutes a day for 3 months bend has not improved. What next?

I’d keep up the regimen and maybe add pentox and low dose nightly viagra or cialis.  Be sure to read the survival guide; https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057

Welcome to the forum  ppeterandshirley,

I would start by reading this carefully then read it one more time paying close attention to the first line of treatment.  https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.0.html

Let us know if you have any Erectile Dysfunction.  It changes the solution quite a bit.

I have no erectile dysfunction [besides the bend] and enjoy excellent health.

No plaque, no pain, solid erection 45 degree upward bend. Is it Peyronie's or just a damage penis? Have booked appointment with a urologist 21st March.

Make sure you get a color double doppler ultrasound. I don't see how you could have a 45 degree bend with no plaque. But I'm not a doctor so...

It's Peyronie's if your penis bends (an opinion I and many others have), and even if it's congenital, world famous specialist Dr Levine has even stated that such a deformity puts one at greater risk for the disease, and we have many men here who began with congenital to end up with scars or damage on pressure points on the penis.

Ultrasounds do NOT always show anything! That's because the disease is a spectrum of fibrosis. Do not rely on an ultrasound, but do get one. Even if it shows nothing, act as if you have the disease. Ultrasounds are simply not great diagnostic tools for Peyronie's.

NEOV most doctors would not agree with you. For example best urologist/andrologist in capital city in my country told me that you can have scar tissue on penis and not have Peyronies Disease. He says that Peyronies Disease is acctualy when you have multiple plaques, indentittions and that things apeaeing over time ... He says that a lot od guys who damaged their penis with veds come and think that they have real Peyronies Disease but in reality they have some scar located at one place on
penis because of injuri and that scar will stabilize and probably become smaller over time , stay same or dissapear and new scar will come od injuri happen. He says that "real" Peyronies Disease patients are patients that have fibrosis over multipla places over their penises with no obvius reason.... So in his  words if you have one scar that doesnt mean that you have Peyronies Disease... I think this is obvious reason whay most of guys just dissapear from forum.

inkognito he is wrong you can have only one scar (plaque) that causes angulasion or rotation that is Peyronies Disease hat he said about most men is that of 22% of male corpses had scar tissue o the penis will the prevelance of Peyronies Disease is 3%to 9% over general mail population without considering cases that do not show up for various reasons(shame,do not care)

He did not say that it was impossible. He sad that if you have one scar that it doesnt mean you have Peyronies Disease 100%...

I was read somewhere on forum that there was a guy who had scar tissue( small calcification dots) on ultrasound but doctor told him that that is not Peyronies Disease...

I think that when looking at cadavers it is found many men have some plaque but without the other signs of peyronies...bend, wasting, etc.
