DMSO, verapamil, vitamin E

I just got some (pure) DMSO, 15% verapamil and vitamin E (not sure of percentage) from a compounding pharmacy.

It is undiluted with water because water will make the verapamil precipitate out of solution. They tried to cut it with water many different ways, and said adding even a little bit will kick out the verapamil.

So, let me know if I should do anything different here.

1. I used a glass eyedropper. Took a small amount and applied to my dick.

2. I rubbed it in (after having washed my hands)

3. I waited about 20 min. My dick was still sticky, so I am not sure it absorbed totally or not.

4. I put my pants back on.

5. I rubbed castor oil all over it.

I am concerned the dyes from my pants will seep in. I am concerned this will dry out my skin because of its purity.

It does burn, but not that badly.

Anything you would do differently?

Like any medication if you are concerned about side effects then don't use it.

I'm not a big fan of DMSO based solutions. I think they only transfer medications into the skin that surrounds the Tunica, and don't deliver directly to where you may need the medication. Just my opinion.

As he said "just my opinion". Oh, and just in case you want to ask-I did try it.

Yeah that's quiet a high % of DMSO which will sting. Applying oil after it and possibly lotion/moisturizer at other times should take care of the skin but yeah it could make problems. Just observe and once it dries you stop applying and let it recover.

Add a little bit of castor oil to the solution you got. Shake it like crazy before applying to get a good temporary mix.
15 minutes should be enough. I most the times do 10.. Applying oil/lotion after 15min, massaging it a bit into the penis there shouldn't be a risk of contaminating pants with it. It would need direct contact right away after applying DMSO. If you want to be safe use 100% natural underwear.

I'm still dumbfounded how it doesn't dissolve in water as all the documentation says:
QuoteVerapamil Solubility: Soluble in 100% ethanol (26mg/ml), methanol or water (83mg/ml).
So it could be due to quantity and some is dissolved and some isn't or the way they mixed it.. The vitamin E is surely not soluble in water. I wonder if that's what they saw..

I personally would experiment a bit with half of the solution and would add an emulsifierthat can connect oil with water. Emulsifiers are standard in every creme with components that don't connect to each other.
I apply solutions with DMSO and the emulsifiers Lecithin and Xanthan everyday with no problems. If a DMSO solution is separating I add a little premix of water+xanthan+lecithin until it is all one mix. The premix I do with a "handblender" and then add it to the DMSO mix(shaking) until I'm satisfied with the state of it. If you add too much emulsifier it will turn into a paste.
It's not that as complicate or dangerous as it may sound..

It sure is a crude penetration compared to let's say injecting it right into or beside a plaque but there's a lot of studies out there which used DMSO to get deep into tissues via enhancing the permeability. It's the function of DMSO. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1959535/
The key is to not just apply DMSO+X every other day, drop on a hot stone, but to "flood" the penis tissue/plaque with supplements. Using a lot of DMSO+Vitamin C my nails(from applying it) and skin will turn yellow cause the DMSO moves the vitamin C deep inside(no adverse effects, waiting 2 days it's taken up by the body).

find a DMSO-compatible cling film to perform an occlusion. Not a PVC one, a PE one.

He means to wrap plastic wrap around it. Certain plastics don't react with DMSO like HDPE.
Here's a list for example: https://www.calpaclab.com/chemical-compatibility-bottles-containers/ (dmso is down on the list)

@samsung: did you need a prescription from a doctor or you found a US-based compounding pharmacy willing to do this without a prescription?

Otherwise: where can I source pure verapamil in powder form?

I had to get a prescription from my primary doc and he had the compounding pharmacy put it together.

Interesting. Where in the US is your PCP located? I may want to pay them a visit to get the same prescription as well.

@melting: 2.6% in ethanol and 8.3% in water are << 15%. Now, I don't know at what point DMSO would be saturated by verapamil. If that's >> 15%, you can probably afford some water. But DMSO and water release heat, which is a sign that an exogenous reaction has taken place. So I prefer to just add more solutes to bring down the percentage of DMSO, rather than diluting it with water.

Sanabo

Samsung,

I am from MA and going through this too. Wanna bounce ideas off each other? A urologist just talked to me about verapamil injections. I do not want any injections at all and am looking to do conservative measures. Would've rather try this as a gel. Have you tried traction or VED?

Hi Sanabo,

From my personal experience I would not try verapamil injections unless your peyronie's curve is extreme. There is a high risk for more scarring as the injections themselves are traumatic.
