I used to have a glass of red wine every now and then, sometimes before sex. I remember my erections were literally raging after that. I stopped drinking altogether a couple of years ago and 4 years later i got peyronies.

I picked up a glass of red wine the other days and i have to say that my erection improved and i got more feeling in my penis.

Since red wine is known to be a good vasodilator and known to help with sex and erections, wouldnt it be an ideal treatment? I glass every other day or so.
31 yo, Hourglass Peyronies likely because of masturbation

Treatment: Vit E and fish oil (vitD+E), no more masturbation; good improvement so far, less hourglass both in flaccid and erect state, little to no pain during erection now

I think any amount of alcohol is likely bad for Peyronie's, but that said, I have noticed this as well. Red wine has a lot of flavanoids besides the small amount of resveratrol. If I do drink, I tend to choose wine lately despite the small amount of carbs. Choose a "malbec" for the highest resveratrol and lower carbs.

Currently I take about 400mg a resveratrol a day and pine bark extract, so I can't really justify red wine in any way. But yes, some indulgent can be nice.

I do think other types of alcohol are bad but red wine specifically, because of its composition, is more than an indulgence but rather a potentially potent cure.

I will be trying it for a month or two every 2-3 days and check back in with the results.

Carbs in red wine are completely negligible.

I have compiled a large list of studies on resveratrol and penile health recently. I was saving it for a YouTube video, but here are just some of the studies. I started taking it after hearing all the hype from David Sinclair on aging and Ronda Patrick's video.

PLEASE BE AWARE that alcoholism is STRONGLY associated with Peyronie's disease and Dupuytren's. I think this may have to do with the liver and diabetes but I am not sure yet. Anyway, here are the studies, cheers!

NEW WARNING MARCH/2020: I have stopped taking resveratrol due to a few studies on it.

EQ (rats) The red wine compound resveratrol, but not quercetin, relaxes isolated mice CC concentration-dependently through mechanisms independent of the NO/sGC pathway. Resveratrol is a more potent antioxidant than quercetin, being able to restore decreased neuronal NO responses in mice CC.

Resveratrol improves diabetes-associated Erectile Dysfunction in rats. Combination therapies with resveratrol and sildenafil have a synergistic effect in improving Erectile Dysfunction. The mechanisms might be attributed to its anti-oxidative properties and NO-cGMP signaling pathway upregulation.

These results demonstrate that RVT-induced relaxation is at least partly dependent on H2 S formation and acts independent of eNOS pathway. In phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor (PDE-5i) nonresponder population, combination therapy with RVT may reverse erectile dysfunction via stimulating endogenous H2 S formation.

Resveratrol and quercetin protect mouse corpora cavernosa from diabetic-induced damage to NO-mediated relaxant responses. This might rely on their antioxidant capacity.

RVT improves sildenafil-induced relaxations of corpus cavernosum in both diabetic and non-diabetic aged rats probably by potentiating the activity of NOS, and this effect seems to be more manifest in diabetic aged group.

I wanted to add here that I have stopped taking resveratrol due to possible issues with it causing a worsening in my neuropathy. I also found two studies showing that it could damage the body under certain circumstances (such as when already low carb and already healthy as apposed to on the SAD diet).

That worsening should be happening because of alcohol, not reservatrol
