Hi, 6 months ago my life turned upside down. Ive got peyronies since an accident having sex with my gf.

The curvature is about 30 degrees and starts pretty much at the Base of the penis. Ive also lost some girth around the bend and have trouble get as hard erections as I used to.

This Made me very depressed and im thinking about getting an implant just to prevent things from get worse.

Below you can see a picture:

Can somebody with experience give me tips on how I should handle this. Is an implant the best solution?

Ive also had many symptoms ref hard flaccid. Penis hard sometimes when flaccid. Can this prevent from getting implanted?

Everyone else can chime in here on how to proceed from here, but you have a long road to go before an implant should be considered. Implant is usually considered the last train at the station. If your curve prevents sex entirely or you have 100% erectile dysfunction then implant is indicated. Otherwise try all available means at your disposal first.

Read the survival guide to begin with.

Hello Smarthyn,

Im glad you found the forum there is a lot of help here. I have sent you a PM with some helpful links within the forum, there is a link to the Survival Guide as Samsung suggested, please read that. It is also true that there are a lot of things to try before deciding on surgery. If you can give us some more history on what you have tried so far that will help us help you.

Ive met 3 different urologist so far and they all say that there is nothing I can do but wait. We dont have any peyronies specialists in my country so I im out of options.

Therefore Ive concider travel to USA and get an implant from one of the top surgeons..

I feel you only live once and spend all day thinking about this and how it might develop is killing me.

You'll probably need to pull treatment modalities together yourself after reading the survival guide.  I suspect you could at least acquire a traction or VED device  and maybe add low dose nightly PDE5i to help prevent any further progression and hopefully to remodel plaque and reverse the damage.  You've caught it soon while the curve doesn't prevent sex and you're having erections.

Hello, hang in there! It is a struggle for all of us. I found with my penis after about 6-8 months the bend stabilized and I was able to go back to normal erections. Not straight, but hard.  Anyway, get support and learn how to use what you have. It is still a nice tool.  I think you can use it an be happy.  I have been to a urologist who thinks anytype of surgery should be a last resort. Best of luck.  .

Smarthyn,
I don't mean to depress or upset you. But you asked for advice and as one of the older/senior members on this forum, and who did have significant Peyronies disease over 10 years ago I can tell you the truth. I know you are concerned and don't like the curve. But yours is very slight and not bad enough to impede intercourse. A GOOD U.S. surgeon would not put you through the risk of getting an implant at this point in time. In fact I would be fearful of a surgeon who would be willing to do it. He is only after your money to risk an implant.

There are other things you could try at this point and they are all explained here on the forum. Primarily traction or VED usage. Along with some other non-traditional type therapies that are MUCH LESS invasive and could help you at this point.
