I feel so hopeless and defeated. I thought after having the nesbit plication I would finally feel okay with my penis. I'm not. I had surgery 3 weeks ago. Whenever I start to become erect my penis points left. When it's fully hard its straight, but my semi erections are lopsided. What can I do? Should I go back to the doctor and complain? I did my research, got the best doctor I had access to. I just wanted a normal penis but I didn't get it.

In any case you should have some sort of checkout after your surgery on how it goes.
I have no knowledge about Nesbit but I guess it's possible that the tissue is not yet fully settled..

It's doubtful that we are ever the same again after having Peyronies Disease or an operation.
Being able to get a straight erection sounds good. Why is the semi erection going left bothering you? any pain?

I would give it time.  3 weeks after surgery is too soon to see final result.  Let it heal a good few months and see if it improves.  Any surgery causes trauma to the area, and being such a delicate area of the body it takes quite awhile to fully heal

@melting I really cared about the aesthetic result, not just the functional result. If I'm any less than fully hard my penis veers left. It's not what I expected at all. I saw the doctor 2 weeks after and mentioned it. He didn't seem concerned but maybe I wasn't emphatic enough

@TDix I really hope that's the case... I don't know why I was naive enough to think I could have a normal penis

You need to be positive, even if how it ends up is your new "normal ".  You won't be how you used to be, and you need to accept that.  What I wouldn't do is give up.  If this procedure for you doesn't live up to your expectations find a better doctor and keep going.  I fell into the lap of Dr Yafi after a bad experience with Xiaflex, and even the uro that administered that moved me to him. Once you find "that" doctor, do all you can to improve your condition.  It will get better, you just might have to work at it

As a side note I had major surgery, excision and grafting back in March, and I'm still not fully healed.  I'm straight and got all my length back, even more girth, but I have a bulge where the graft was placed, and have to be on Cialis for awhile as my erections aren't what they used to be.  I tend to look at the positive, as in I'm now straight, lost no length, increased girth, and actually last a lot longer now.  That's how I have to look at it as opposed to saying "my dick isn't what it used to be".  Neither is any other part of my body at my age, just have to stay positive bud

Dont worry. You can always fix bad outcome from the surgery with dr Joel Gelman. He is the best if you want to fix your curvature or bad outcome from prior surgery.

Talk with him because he had never had a patient who needed further surgery. He has the best success ratio in the world and he knows exactly how to straighten your penis. So dont worry.

Remember you have to wait 6 months if you want to go redo surgery.

Also know Dr Gelman doesn't accept a lot of insurances.  Dr Yafi also works at UCI, and does accept insurance

I know the outcome is not what you wanted, but if you are straight when fully erect, and have no loss of sensation, I would say the operation has been a success.

We have to be realistic in the possible outcome from surgery.  It is unlikely that we will ever be as we were, but having a functional penis is a blessing.

After incision and grafting I have lost nearly 2 inches since before the disease, and still have a curve of around 45 degrees.  I would be over the moon with your result

Incision/grafting surgery in 6/2019.  Resulted in loss of length of around 1.5 inches, residual curve of over 40 degrees, some ED
12/2019 had failed skin anchoring procedure

I understand but If it doesn't hinder the function I wouldn't risk any further operations to fix that for now.

Nonetheless it might be interesting to find out why it's veering left flaccid but not hard.

I think it's possible that the tissue didn't settle yet fully and swelling inside influences the shape while flaccid BUT an erection is stronger "overpowering" the swelling. I would avoid any rough stuff, masturbation, intercourse for some weeks and eat and live very healthy.

@Tdix I'm going to take your advice and try to be positive and figure out how I can work towards getting the result I want. I went through a lot to find my doctor and I just had high Hope's that after this surgery I would have a normal, straight penis and I'd finally be happy. This procedure had a high satisfaction rate I thought.

@MarkDS it's like my penis is a leaning tower. Its straight but it completely leans of left to the side. When I'm less than fully erect the problem is very apparent. The thought of having another surgery on my penis is really scary thought. I don't know whether to go back to the same doctor and ask him to revise his work or if I need to seek out a new doctor

@mst1622 I live in Virginia on the other side of the country. Getting to California wouldn't be very feasible for me. Is he really that good? Where can I read about him?

This is exactly the reason I haven't got surgery yet, because to me the result doesn't seem to be worth the cost and possible damage surgery does. I totally understand the desire to have a healthy sexual life again, but I would advice you to wait for better surgeries in the future, if you can do that. I think waiting is hard, but I hope it will all be worth it, cause going trough surgery and STILL being left with a less than functional penis seems very depressing (especially if you're quite poor like me and have to pay out of the pocket). If I where you I'd be clear to your doctor and straight up tell him you're not satisfied with the results. He will probably tell you that he's happy with his own work and that you should get theraphy because the surgery was a succes in his own opinion, but I think you should tell him anyway. I honestly believe the doctor did the best he could, but I feel like even the best surgery available at this time doesn't give you even close to the penis you had before peyronies and that's a shame and hopefully will be a thing of the past in a couple more years. In the meantime you could search for another doctor and another surgery, but it could very well be that they don't give you the desired results either.

Symptoms: sharp pains, numbness, change in shape/size, hourglassing and discolaration from jelqing/VED usage as a teen. Diagnosed with a venous leak and possible scarring.
Treatments tried: cialis, pentox and VED didnt help

Well if he was going to tell me I'm crazy and needed therapy I wish he had done it before he put his knife to my penis.

I think waiting can be wise if you have to wait to decide what you truly want, but I don't know if thats the answer if you're waiting in misery and there's treatment available in the present that may help.

I live in Poland and I went to dr Gelman a year ago. It is 12k km from there. You can read about him on this forum.

He is not good, I believe he is the best.

I feel sorry that you are unhappy with that Nesbit procedure, but isn't it like the oldest one out there? Even Wikipedia says it causes shortening of the penis, which you probably already had with Peyroines, so who needs more of that?

The Nesbit is one I definitely would have said no to. Not in a million years. This is really highly specialized stuff for only the top surgeons in the world, up on the latest techniques. Sort of like a rhinoplasty. It requires a super-specialist, even if you have to travel a lot for it. But, all the best. Hope things work out for you.

If you are getting functional erections which are straight when fully erect, please do not rush into more surgery. Truth is you have got a good result, it just doesn't match up to your expectations.

Changing the expectations will be easier and more beneficial to you in the long run. I say this with the greatest of respect for your situation and the suffering it has caused.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

I agree w skunkworks, although you may not consider it an ideal outcome—having a straight functioning penis when erect is all one really needs.
