Anyone achieved a "normal" sex life without surgery?

I'm new to all of this but obviously there's a lot of sobering realities when talking about Peyronie's. The improvement forum is uplifting, and many are "cured" via surgery, but I haven't seen a lot of posts about those with manageable / mild Peyronie's or discussion of mild improvement and how it has affected their sex life. Degrees/inches only mean so much, I want to hear about ability to use it.

Can anyone share stories of how they have:
1) Stabilized / made it out of the Acute phase (no pain, no worsening) and returned to normal sex (no pain, no ED). What, if anything did you have to change (e.g. no longer do xyz position?)

2) Improved to the point of returning to normal sex. Via traction, pentox, whatever. How much curve / shrinkage / ED did you have before? How much do you have now? Are you fully functional (all positions, no pain, no ED)? If not, what are your limitations?

I ask because as of now (early Acute stage), I have a 30 degree upward curve, but painful erections. I want to know if I can stop the progression or even reverse 10-20 degrees via traction, if I can expect a "normal" life after the pain subsides. If I'm being optimistic, it seems like some women may even like a slight upward curve. Maybe there is some hope..? Or am I doomed to unpredictable flare ups/worsening and ED problems for the rest of my life?
