Hi, I recently bought a squat rack so I can do compound exercises (deadlift, squat, bench press, military press and barbell rows) at home. I love lifting weights, but I don't really like the hassle of going to the gym, all the mirrors, having to wait your turn and spending a lot of time talking to people and all that. With my own equipment at home I'm motivated again to get in shape. I know it's a good thing for my mental and physical health, but is it good for peyronies too? My urologist said I have pelvic floor tension and lifting can increase that tension, so that would probably a bad thing. What has been other people's experiences? I personally never noticed much of a difference between lifting weights or not in the past, and I think for the rest of my body it can only be a good thing, but I'd like to know other people's opinion.

I lift 4 times a week and don't see how it could be a negative. Not sure about the pelvic floor though. First I've heard of that.

Lifting weights is extremely important for your penile health. Extremely. Simply making one muscle sore can "soak up" the glucose that would otherwise damage your penis, heart, and blood vessels.

Yeah if you're tight then lifting -can- make things worse. Just balance it with pelvic floor stretching.
Also take care that you recover enough. Many people lifting do too much/too intense creating chronic inflammation.

I have to agree with you here. When I run on a treadmill for a long time, I get turtling bad. Same with squats. But that's just me. In general weight training is very healthy. Just don't overdo it.

That's quiet normal cause the legs are "taking all the blood" and the Nitric oxide, that is responsible for relaxing Penis smooth muscles, is "used up" by the leg muscles.
